I have been gambling off and on for about 10 years. I had stopped and thought I had cracked it.

I need a loan and have gone to my parents and hopefully they will help. I can not tell my husband as he would be devastated and would probably leave me.

i do not want to use the online sites anymore and looking for advice on how to *** this for good.

By coming to this site you have re-alised that you have a problem with gambling, but typing on here is only the start to what you hope is a cure to something you love but is ruining you financially. There are many 'assists' for us all listed and talked about on this site 'on-line blockers, self-exclusion, placing one's cards in the hands of a more 'responsible' person, going out with the minimum of cash upon you, moving to a bank which won't accept gambling transactions - the list goes on and on and the advice is very good on here and sympathetic, BUT IN THE END YOU HAVE TO WANT TO STOP YOURSELF. I have been here on many occasions and thought by typing this/that I was over it, but I was not/am not, it is so very hard to stop something you have done for so long and you enjoy so much. So good luck if you want to quit, but it will be a long tricky road, there are people on here who have managed it, they are really tough cookies, you have to ask yourself can I be like them, I wish I was.
