I am new to this forum and I have a gambling addiction to scratchcards and other things none seems to understand me I hope u can help
Hi Firecracker, welcome to the Forum and well done for posting here - a very positive step.
The public largely see gambling as an active choice, so sympathy is sadly likely to be in very short supply my friend.
Other forms of mental health issues continue to gain widespread understanding and publicity, but compulsive gambling attracts a great deal of negativity and disdain. A large part of that is because it involves money, and money effects everyone.
This is why sites like this, and places like GA, are incredibly valuable because people understand what you are going through, and can offer non-judgemental advice and support - you don't have to be alone in this my friend.
Please don't hesitate to share your story and what led you to this point my friend - the more information you offer, the more people will be able to help you.
Well done again. I hope this is the start of a more positive path in life for you my friend.

Hi firecracker,
Welcome to the Forum!
I wonder whether you might find it useful to give the HelpLine a call. It's 0808 8020 133. Alternatively, you can contact the Netline http://secure.gamcare.org.uk/netline/. This is an online chat facility.
You say that you feel like no one understands you. You can be sure to be listened to by an advisor and not judged and maybe this could make a big difference for you at this time.
Kind wishes
Gabriele
