Welcome to the site...sorry to hear abut the bad time you have been going through.

Couple of people on here asking is it ok to have a little acca as it does no harm. my question to you.....

Why do you need the Acca?...what does it bring to your life that you cant live without?

Having practical things in place like someone controlling your money is an excellent start but you can always get around these if you really wanted to. You will find that a high percentage (not all) of the people with long periods of not gambling, on here, have had some form of counselling or they go to GA.

Nobody is suggetsing you have to do these things but they are something to think about.

I'm 100% looking into counselling to understand the self destructive cycle - I think gambling is one outlet of an underlying problem which I'd like to explore!

I guess I'm sat here today in a much better frame of mind knowing I have wonderful support around me and for that I am truly grateful.

Stick with that positive attitude and im sure it will work out for you.

You will have good days and bad days but I can promise you the bad days will never be as bad as you have been feeling recently.

For me I totally differentiate between a small acca at the bookies and online gambling. Bookies hold no appeal for me and would just give me something to watch on a saturday. Its the ease at which online gambling gets to people which disturbs me and affected me massively. I cannot believe there hasnt been a huge campaign to have tighter controls.
