Hi all, I’ve been using online slots for a year, , built up debt, credit rating dropped as maxed out. I came out to my husband Sunday 7th, he doesn’t use banking apps so had no idea what I was spending, but this month I spent too much and didn’t leave enough for all the bills.
it was a relief to tell him. He moved money in to cover the bills and I need to stay away from gambling and pay off debts.
last gamble was Friday 5th.
I know I’ll need support to stay away, so joining is my first step.

Huge step admitting it Bee! Be proud of yourself, its a long road but stay strong and talk about it with your support group/person as much as you can, it has certainly helped me make a start to recovery.

Good Luck,

L

I am in a similar situation. I’ve been pouring money into online competitions. I don’t share an account with my partner so he cannot see. I haven’t come out to anyone except the nhs gambling harm team in my area. Hi they’ve referred me to group cbt via teams. I hope it helps. I resisted gambling all day. Woke up wide awake at 1am and spent £80 I don’t have.
