Hi

A gambling addiction is complex but one of the most dangerous strands is that it affects people from all walks of life who are not stupid. We all generally know what we are losing and gambling gets its hooks in by deluding us that its all going to come back in the end.

It creates a comfort zone of delusion to get a dopamine and adrenalaine fix.

NOW the REALITY is that IT IS NOT coming back and you need to focus on that thought. How is it coming back as they are not operating a get it back later scheme. Its random chance based on calculated odds and a strong house edge.

The money you have lost has gone and you need to put that behind you. Have you got it back yet?...... NO which brings you to this forum.

Focus on what gambling has done and we recommend telling someone close. Try and explain a gambling session to them and it will sound crazy as the words leave your mouth.

Your mental health is more important than any money so use whatever thought process you have to...its gone and you need to focus on what is important in life. To some extent you have to think its only money or chasing will make it many times worse.

Are you ready to recover? Can you do that? These are the burning questions

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
