I echo Ana's words Anne - this is a very positive step, and you will gain a lot from what is written here.

No judgement on you, but can I ask why you just want to correspond with female members only? If you walk into any GA meeting, you will see young, old, male, female, barristers, roadsweepers, millionaires; this affects just about anyone from any background. We also have to be careful from a security point of view - to only want to correspond with women sounds very odd, and there are a lot of men out there who posts anonymously as women on many different websites, purely to get attention; compulsive gambling is very universal so gender really doesn't matter in these circumstances - no offence, I am sure you are who you say you are and have the best intentions, but it does raise a red flag with me personally.

I wouldn't think about what is male or female, just read about speak to those who can help and advise you the most. Good luck on your journey - I would read a lot of posts by JamesP because he has stopped for six years after twenty years of gambling, plus he is very kind and knowledgeable.
