Lost thousands around 6 years ago and promised myself never again! Managed to stay clean build up some savings and was nearly debt free. Then 3 days ago it’s happened again thousands down the drain £50 to last me nearly 2 weeks till I get paid and nearly maxed out my overdraft too. Don’t know what to do or where to turn My fiancée is so upset about the whole ordeal and quite frankly it’s the last straw and I just don’t know what to do.
Mate i am sorry to hear 6 years is great achievement u should be proud have u put blocks in place? U can also join the chatrooms 8pm daily its best one i managed 3 years before i had a major relapse i now realise the only way to have any chance at this is to keep myself in recovery has i simpy cant forget about this addiction i realise i can live a normal life has long as i dont place a bet regardless of time it dont matter if it tomarrow or 10 years time i will always be an addict

I know the pain of the money hurts but at least you know you can do 6 years clean and have come back on here. I agree with Taz. The addiction hibernates but never goes away. I personally will be in recovery for the rest of my life, I know that doesn't help you but are you able to see it as a puncture on your car. No need to start again, just fix it and move on.Â
