Fwiw i wasnt the player you were beating, i was playing real stakes.
You are very defensive, but don't worry that's very natural for a gambler when called out on their losses. I was the same, came across as an overall winner even though by the end i was losing far more to the slots than i won at the tables. And i only showed the big wins. "Hey guys, i won $16,000 last night, look at this screenshot"...
Give it a few months and you might be ready for help quitting gambling. At the moment you're the alcoholic who quits drinking scotch but carries on drinking beer thinking it's maintainable.

You came here asking for advice and got it. It's clearly not what you wanted to hear, so you're off in a huff now. I was speaking from vast vast experience and was in exactly your position a couple of years ago. You think small stake poker is ok. Playing 365 days a year and putting in 14 hour session though? Wow, thats something you need to take a step back and have a good long look at. Do you expect your partner will just put up with that forever? Again, from experience, she wont.
you're not just gambling with money.

Please keep posting and being honest about your feelings. Nobody here can force you to do anything. I agree with what others are saying but I also accept that there is a debate about different triggers to extinction gambling.

If you want to work it that way for now.... shut down the other forms of gambling and keep talking through your finances with somebody close.

Nobody here wants to just upset you so please dont take it too personally. We see worrying signs but its your decision and I dont give ultimatums.

Take some positive steps in self excluding and cutting out the gambling that was triggering you the most. Then you can keep looking at your life with the aim of being gamble free.

Im sure you understand that you have said Im going to continue with one form of gambling on this forum. Therefore you could expect some debate and stern words because people care about you here.

You will deal with it as you want to. All we ask is your continued honesty which is appreciated.

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
