Hi I'm new here and feel I would like to start off by introducing myself. I started gambling at the age of 16 on the fotb machines. Me And my friend were playing with a £5 on roullete and we put it all on 0 and it came up. Then after a while we left and walked away with just over £500. Straight away I was hooked. Winning alot more than I was putting in for the first year. Seemed the easiest way to earn money at the time. Fast forwards to when I was 21 I was still heavy gambling with larger losses the more i earned from work. Then I basically used my mother's card and spent £100 which was the best thing as she found out and the gambling came to a holt. Luckily I managed until I was 27 without going near them again until one day I decided to play with £10 And walked out with £980. I spent the money straight away which made me so happy. But then I wanted to do it again to treat me and my partner to a holiday. I walked out £500 later and had great intentions but it was gone in the bookies tills the next day. For the past few year my life became dependant on the fotb. For the last 5 month's I have done well. I joined gamstop and gamcare and self excluded from every online and street bookmakers I could. No bookies around a 30 miles radios I'm allowed in. But the temptations always a there to drive a bit further before work. So I just hope I can stay active on here and try remember just how much it can ruin my life again if I decide to drive that extra 10miles.
