I remeber the day I visited a well known bookmakers to use the toilet, not wanting to be a skive I put £10 in the FOBT and played roulette. I walked out 30mins later £180 up which was a lot of money for me. That was around 4 years ago, I had gambles in the past on the odd online bingo and poker my parents used to play but it never bothered me. I think I have an addixtive personality which I have been told a few times. I stopped drinking just over 4 years ago but fullishly started again after drinking at my brother stag do 1 1/2 years ago. I found the gambling subsidised my ned for alcohol a little and gave me a good high but as we know the low from lossing is beyong words. I have scraped the battle of rock bottom a few times over the years, spending every peeny and more the day before we were due to get my daughter in laws school uniform £1000+ . Spending every penny before we done the xmas present shop £3000, I have wipes us out of money a few other times blowing £1000-£3000 on urges. Last ngt was the final straw, I made a new Grosvenor account after being s**t oit my old account, £40 in I was laughing as I was up £500. As always it is never enough and think I can milk the system for more, 4 hours later I am over £1000 down and have no money due in. I am going to have to sell my car to feed my family and pay bills leaving me unable to get to work. I sometime thinknit may be biolohical because my father gamble and drank, he is now dead. I am petrified to leave my 18month old son incase it sends him off the rails when im away 🙁

Hi the thing is if you had tried to withdraw that £500 from your new account, or more than that if you'd won more instead of losing it all, they probably wouldn't even have paid you out owing to a duplicate account / self-exclusion. So the casino is really on a shot to nothing - if you lose they keep the money, if you win they refuse to pay out. You might as well have just poured the money down the drain.
