Evening ScottJones26

WEll done for coming online and posting your thoughts. You are in the right place for support. The decision to stop always has to be yours, you cannot stop for anyone but yourself. then when you make that decision, your commitment is higher and stronger.

Reach out to Gamcare and its community to see what support is best for you, lines are open 24/7 and we are here for your partner too

My Son gambled for 9 years and only defeated it by engaging in all the support available when he had enough of the misery he felt. Put all restrictions you can on yourself Self-exclusion - GamCare.

There are our chatrooms, forum, and self resources all to help.

Gamcare community will all know how you feel in many respects.

Take care Patsy

I saw a saying that it’s not the addiction it’s the reason behind it past trauma

mental health

depression

all these are triggers I can say first hand I’ve had all of the above and used gambling as an escape I won’t have to face it if I keep burying my head in the sand but one day something in me snapped and I though no more I will never be free if I don’t do something about it and I can honestly say I’m only 3 weeks in and I haven’t felt this good in a long time and that’s when you think o*g this is it I’m free I know everyone is different but I have no interest in doing it anymore I used blocking software so I couldn’t if I wanted to even down to buying scratch cards doesn’t interest me because I have my life back
