-Hi everyone, I’m just going to get straight into why I’m here..

I’ve been gambling on and off since I was 18 when my mate first introduced me into football, horses and casino betting.like everyone it Started off small and then became a massive problem. I used to go into the bookies and literally blow almost all my wage in one session. This was mostly on roulette. I then had a big win on football on like my first online bet and never looked at roulette again. Betting on football online was now my problem. Went overdrawn about 2.5k from the bank because of it and also borrowed 1k on payday loans. I then stopped and managed to pay my overdraft and payday loan back. My problem is every time I do stop, a few months down the line I start again. This is the basis of what happens..

-open new account, deposit large sum of money, win, then lose, then chase money until I have nothing left, self exclude, then open new account again. I just go full circle. I’m constantly thinking in my head I’m done with gambling once I lose all my money then I’m sucked back in again. I feel like my main problem is because I’ve lost so much money over the years , I’m constantly thinking I’m my head I’ve got to win it back all the tine.. and I know that is an unrealistic thing to think but I can’t help it.. before gambling if I lost £10 I’d be annoyed.. now I can lose up to £300in a day and it doesn’t even bother me.. it’s almost become routine. I guess I’ve always denied being a gambling addict but I feel like it’s time to take responsibility and just admit thy I have a problem and need help and to talk to people who are going through the same thing. Anyway thanks for ready guys and girls and I hope by sharing our stories with each other we can all overcome this s**t thing called gambling that makes us all skint and takes away our valuable time. Kind regards, Cai.

Hi I’m obviously a gambler and have a problem. I’ve been 2 months without a bet because I’ve been found out and the truth has come home. To e and my partner which is helping me. I’ve been like a weight has been lifted since the truth has come out and I have been absolutely fine not betting. But I’m feeling like the I’m waiting for the time or moment to arrive. What advice do you have for if and when that time arrives? Thanks. Anything you want to ask me please do.

Hi mate good to hear from you and your story. All I can say is put as many blocks on your phone as you can so you can’t access any sites.. try go onto the self exclusion of your regular betting site. If you bet in store go in ASAP while you’re confident and feel good that you won’t bet and self exclude yourself! Obviously I’m not the best at advice because one way or another gambling has always found me in the end. Hope all goes well, best of wishes mate

Hello Cai
Your story kinda mirrors mine in the sense of losing 300 in a day and not giving it a second thought. I'm also addicted to roulette. I'm.a huge gambler and have lost thousands over the years. I dintvwant to even think how much. I've tried so many times to stop but just can't do it anymore. My time, dignity , you name it. payday comes and goes as if I haven't been to work as usually end up blowing a lot of my wages and then trying to thunk where I will get my next penny to keep food on the table for the rest of the month. It always seems to be an on going pattern. I'm.back to day 2 of GF. I've put measures on the table now and hoping it works. Good luck to you too
