Sounds very similar to me. I quit I’m fine and I build my bank account up and then, I binge gamble. Just lost £500 in 2 days! I’m gutted. Same old story

Hi Oliver. Goodness me yes the sleep pattern really did just fly out of the window! As you can see from my recent posts, they are from the early hours so I haven't made progress there at all. The anxiety can really get out of hand, I can understand that through experience and it's not a good place to be. Anxiety because you've gambled, anxiety because you haven't, anxiety because you know you should really apply blocks but you can't bear the thought that you'll never be able to bet - the Anxiety list is endless. We don't see it coming do we - just goes to show to what degree our minds can be manipulated without our knowledge doesn't it. Time does at least give us perspective, thank goodness, so if we go slowly and steady we will all get there!!  Keep going.

Sorry to hear about your poor sleep still. Hope that starts to pass for us both. Nothing worse than tossing and turning with things racing through your mind. Anxiety is awful I agree. Worry of finances makes it even worse for me which constantly running through my head.

Day 3 done for me now. Work helped keep my mind off things. Battled through.

How are you doing? Stay strong and let’s keep going together.

Just thought I'd drop by Oliver to wish you well. I hope things are ok for you. I'm not sleeping and spend most of my early hours watching anxiety videos online. Keep going, sending kindness to you.

Hi Amba,

Thank you so much for taking the one to drop in to check on me. That is very kind and I welcome the support. Really helps me.

I’m doing okay thanks. Gamble free for 10 days now. There has been urges and cravings but stayed strong. Good and bad days. The thought of how I feel after a gambling session which is far worse than I feel now has kept me away.

The anxiety has gotten a bit better but the debt gambling has left (my fault I know) causes it to still be high along with the stress of repayment plans.

How are you doing? Sorry to hear you seem to be suffering bad anxiety to. I hope the videos help.

Sending best wishes.

Oliver

Hi Amba,

Just thought I would check in to see how you’re doing?

I’m battling on and still haven’t given them any of my money!

Regards

Oliver
