Hello everyone...been here for 3 days now and the feeds from everyone that I have read have been very insightful and true. Over this weekend or since Thursday I haven't placed a single bet or gambled any money. I was seriously thinking about aquireing a high interest loan to pay off my payday and some other loans..... But what was I thinking? I would get a loan and keep 200-300 just to play in some mobile slots???
As it happens I didn't get it thank God because it would've been more, and I would've made everything worse. Even if I had that money and won some back..... All I would do is give it straight back to the bookies because you think you can afford it. Lightbulb moment.....I am in this financial disaster because that's the way I thought about gambling. So I have opened a new basic bank account, got my step change DMP to take my payday loans and closed my old account. I will now prioritise my debts and not the loan sharks and start to re build and put more money into my long standing debts. I have 4 kids, a wife and a house....it's a choice of whether I keep them or steal from them, because that's what I have done. Be greatful for what you have before the bookies take everything from you, because they will. That is where my mind is at. 3 days in and no bets!!
