So after gambling for years and losing thousands, today I have taken the step to change.

I would say to myself everyday “that’s it no more” and everyday the cycle would be the same. Chasing money I had lost, taking out loans and hiding my addiction from friends and family. Feeling guilty, ashamed, depressed,  not sleeping and missing out on life.

Today I have contacted a debt management company, registered for Gamban and Gamstop.

I can’t change the past but I can look forward to a brighter, better future. One day at a time!

thank you ?

It’s not a grate place to be in but I am finding some comfort in reading other peoples stories and realising that I’m not alone in this journey.

I know it isn’t going to be easy and this is my second attempt to stop gambling, the difference this time is that I’m not trying to do it alone.

where would I find local meetings please?

good luck with your recovery.

Stay strong. I am in the same situation. On day 1 and need to change my life. I can’t live like this anymore. Take care and stay strong. Take every day as it comes and become stronger.
