Hi Everyone
Checking in on day 50. So proud. But not as proud as Del must be feeling, clocking up 365 days gamble free. Well done Del, here's to the next year.
"Life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change".
Keep marching, soldiers.
Elfie x
Really sorry but messed up today (only day 2)...am I still allowed to join your challenge or am I barred now?
Seems fitting to check in 365 days free from gambling 😀
Throughout this year I have been faced with situations/unfortunate events but I have continued to make the right choice..... tbh it now doesn't feel like a choice it is my way of life to not gamble. Time is a great healer but acceptance is also. Embrace all the help you can get whether it be words of wisdom from fellow GC users, counselling, GA.... you are not alone!
I'd like to thank you all for your kind words and taking the time to share this day with me.
To my 2 pals Mr B and bornagain, you are both inspirational people and I will do my best to catch up with you this weekend. The unfortunate thing with a new job is less flexibility 🙁
Be kind folks and try not to dwell on the past because you all have bright futures ahead of you.
God bless.
Del 🙂
Congratulations Del brilliant achievement 1 year gamble free equals 365 days of peace well done mate keep it going 🙂
Quick last post for me for today folks:-
Thanks for sharing your day with us Del - we will catch up over the weekend at some point - you need to earn your dough mate! 😉
Sully2014 - we've never "barred" anyone from the challenge.......yet(!) - we have created tension, we have been provocative at times, but if someone really wants to stop and is in the space where they really commit to recovery then we will never judge, but support, ask questions and march alongside. I'd ask you to consider the conditions that came about today that led you to gamble and as part of you deciding whether you can make the commitment to yourself and the group maybe tell us what you plan to do differently, so that the blip you've experienced today can be prevented in the future. Everyone in the group is clear that this is far from easy mate, which is why creating conditions for yourself to succeed is absolutely vital. Would be great to have you with us and watch you win in a new way.
Thanks to everyone who came on today to specifically congratulate Del - that's what this team is all about.......and the support that's been given to Wolfgang once again demonstrates the power we are as a group.
Stay strong troops. I'm proud to be part of this team.
I'm fired up and ready to go!
Mr Brightside
Checking in for day 58 🙂 Going strong!
Wishing everyone fun and fabulousness!!!! x
Hi Mr Brightside
I do really want to check in more frequently, so will try and be a regular visitor.
I usually use the site when I am feeling like gambling as it is great to read other posts for inspiration - so I guess from a personal point of view I haven't been that tempted recently. However, I do also want to contribute to other threads.
Keep it up everyone
Craig
Checking in.
Thank you mr b for checking me in whilst I was on holiday.
Congratulations to del.
I am still gamble free, but have to admit that I have had gambling thoughts. I am so pleased that I have self excluded from my local bingo halls as I am not sure that I would be still gambling free. It just goes to show it is so important to put every obstacle in the way in this journey.
Onwards and upwards and trying to keep strong.
LG
I would like to check in. This is only my 2nd day being gamble free! Can I partake please?
Hi all, checking in for this week day 85 clean. hope everyone has had a good week. Thanks D.
