welcome back bornagain. this can happen to any of us and really every day is a new day to be taken one step at a time (clich I know).

we today I am checking in on day 108!! wow where did the time go!! I've now covered more time than there is til Christmas!!!!

had some more medical problems pop up this week and last. in the past 2 weeks I've ended up in a&e twice and the local drs 3 time the 4th time later on this afternoon and hospital appointment on Monday due to heart problems.

on the plus side I'm not stressing over gambling and money which is a huge positive.

life is 8 at the moment as I feel rough

family life is 10

gambling thoughts 0!!!!!

financial worries 2!!! if I'm off sick for too long but luckily I've been saving money instead of gambling it and gave it to my husband to look after so I've got a safety net.

best wishes for the future everyone, be strong we can do it!!!

Thanks mjc, I hope the drs and hospital goes ok.

Checking in for the week, feel back on track, told my mum never to give me my bank card and have self excluded from the one remaining local bookies that I could use.

I have also decided to continue going to the football. After years of working weekends its so good to have a Saturday off and I am just going to emphasise to the lads how important it is that they don't pass me football coupons or encourage me to go into a bookies. We have a big away day on the 27th which I'm looking forward to, ten of us going on the early train and then stopping after the game for a couple of hours more drinking and then heading home. Just need to make sure I have enough money for the day, but not so much that it could tempt me.

Hi all, Checking in on what I calculate to be Day 99 of being Gamble Free for me. York was very relaxing and we have been very busy this week ~ no real thoughts of any gambling, just a few reminders about regarding the losses and what extra's or touches of luxury we could have had, e.g. a better car, a nicer B&B to stay rather than budget - but other than that still marching forward 1 day at a time, gamble free by choice and by positive abstention!

Having had a quick flick through the recent posts I know there have been a few casualties of late, some soldiers with personal / family / health problems, on top of coping with staying GF and debts etc. All I can say is don't give in toi ant gambling during these times, life will always throw curve balls and we compulsive gamblers just have to find another way of coping with it than gambling! Easy to say I know - but marching together keeps us strong....stay vigilant and post if you are struggling.

to all those restarters - welcome back, to all those still marching ok, well done. Big day for me - the Day 100 day!! Just hope Portsmouth can beat Southend to make it a marvelous day!

Catch up soon when I can, good luck all and very best wishes to Mr B & Mum for all their hard work and stuff keeping this going [along with e1 else of course!!]. I know what I mean LOL> :). Cliff

Hi , checking in on I think day 90. I am just catching up on posts now as have been very busy.

Music scores

Life 5 - been busy but not really living life

Family 8 - always up there

Gambling 4 - thoughts there but not acted upon

Financial 7 - always a worry and will be for a long time.

Will go and update my diary soon.

Good to see so many positive posts and that so many are doing well even in the face of life traumas. For those who have had slip ups my heart goes out to you but hats off for coming back. We can never relax. "Semper Vigilans".

With the wounded propped up we are marching on.

Well done soldiers.

Morning all, lost track of days but checking in gamble free. Life is feeling pretty good. Starting to work out what to stress about and what I just need to roll with which is really helping me control my tendency towards compulsive behaviour. Scores: 9,9,3,3.

Sorry to hear so many fellow soldiers are toiling right now. I guess the key benefit of this group is that there will always be a mix, some ups some downs, so take strength, rant and rave if you need to and let us know if we can help. Take care all.

Checking in.

I hope mr b you having a better week!

My numbers are as follows 7, 9, 7, 5. The gambling drum seems to have been banging a lot louder this week and I am not sure why. It goes to show that you can be minding your own business and it just creeps up on you.

Hoping to drown out the noise!

Take care everyone and keep strong.

LG x
