Hi everyone.

Im sure I introduced myself before my slip up but here goes again.

My problem is online gambling. Tennis and football. Mainly tennos as it gives so much of a rush with the changes in a match. I just bet and bet till i have nothing left. Before online it was in rhethe bookies bbacking anything. Greyhounds portman park, horses you name it.

Ive tried to quit before and did 3 months last year but this time I will do it. I've realised what I have to lose in my wife and two girls and after just 5 days I'm already seeing the benefits.

Day 5 complete and I'm looking forward to a long stint on this challenge.

Day 110 ( roughly I've stopped counting properly)

Fitzy checking in , apologies mr b if late again , been so busy recently . What with work , excercise , wife's bday and other commitments.

Still no bet since joined group , no real urges either which is great, been putting my time and energy into positive activities.

Feel very down and alone today , but I won't gamble.

Is only 24 hrs tmrw will be better day.

I will never become complacent , complacency is a killer.

Take care everyone

hi everyone this is me checking in on day 111!!! so tomorrow will be 16 weeks!!!

still feeling good about being gambling free although worried about how I will be as just been signed off work again for at least another month due to heart problems.

being off sick and being short of money has always been one of my triggers before, but with my will power and determination and the support of family and friends I will beat this.

best wishes for the future everyone and stay strong.

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum, Today is day 1 for me.

Gambling has been a problem for a while now and its starting to affect my relationship with my boyfriend. Hes given me the ultimatum that I need to stop, or he's leaving me.

Im currently feeling pretty down, but this ultimatum seems to have got me into the right frame of mind! So here goes, time to see how i've done in a week 🙂

Hi all,

My name is Andrew Jackson, I'm 22 and a compulsive gambler. I'm new to this forum as of yesterday and look forward to starting this step to recovery and getting to know some of you a little better. I'm a little nervous about sharing my experiences but at the same time relieved to start beating this evil addiction known as gambling.

Today is day 2 for me without gambling, I have posted my main story in the new users section please take a look. Any guidance is much appreciated, I really need it right now! I look forward to collaborating with you all soon. Thanks 🙂

Hi Fellow Soldiers

Checking in on I think day 85. Sorry, but I put day 90 on my last post on here and not sure where that came from. Wishful thinking, I guess.

Anyway, still gamble free. Life music still low and financial worries high but I'm getting there.

Marching alongside you all has given me to strength to carry on. To be part of this challenge is a great honour for me as I felt quite alone before.

"God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers." That's us!

Well done to everyone and here's to another good week.

Elfie x

Day 179...I've never reached 200 days gamble free and I'm pretty certain that this time I will. Haven't been spending a lot of time on this site, mainly because ive had no urges and sometimes constantly reading about gambling makes me want to gamble! Life is mental, no wonder I lost so much money before I had kids. If I find 10 minutes now all I wanna do is have a quiet brew!

Hi guys,

I'm signing up to join the challenge with you all. Luckily I have only ever bet with small stakes which has meant that I haven't run up debt, but it's certainly time to kick the habit as I'm starting to feel like I can't stop, and I'm looking for my first home so I will need every penny!

I've tried to quit for probably a year and a half now but gambling has a funny way of drawing you in. So many times I have gone a week or two without a bet and then when I do bet, I find myself winning a decent amount and all of a sudden it becomes a daily habit again.

Anyway, from here on in, I'm signed up to the team! I hope I don't let you down!
