I got a good piece of advise a few days ago - for those wanting to turn off racing / gambling channels on sky, go to parental controls under settings, select the channel the save settings once you have pin locked the channel. Then get a someone else to change the pin. Not good if you want to order a film but great of you want to avoid a temptation.

Lots going on with health at the moment and extra shifts at work as well.

Checking myself in for the week on my day 12, refreshed and keen to put my slip behind me. I have done huge damage to my New York finances and I'm at a cross roads, I can give up on it or I can save like mad and budget like mad and just about pull it back together. One thing is for sure that one bet between now an then will kill the trip. So my target for the next 133 days is no bets, no mad nights out, save save save and it can be done!

Checking in early this week as I am away this weekend for the wifes 30th!
I will hit day 50 on Sunday and i can honestly say that achieving this much felt impossible, particularly after I had relapsed after a couple of weeks. This challenge has really helped me and thanks to those that post. It serves as a constant reminder that gambling does not and will not pay off in the long run.

ended up saying if psg won I'd get my girlfriend a gift they didn't so she lost out !

Stay strong girl - I'm with you along the way - i had my biggest challenge this week just gone with not putting on the grand national and managed it - it is the first time in my adult life that i have not bet on that race as its near my birthday and always a thing i did as a tradition --- yet my abstaining from doing so this year just shows we can change!! 🙂 so lets stick to this and see the year 365 days in together x
