Celebrating a huge milestone this week is Garyl1976 on holidays and hitting 500 days. Very well done to you. Please share with us your key to success on your return from holidays!
We have a few newbies this week and a few rejoining. Welcome to you all. Please try not to forget to check in every week (any day is fine just before next Sunday!)
TheGerman made half a century this week an excellent achievement since joining this challenge in June, well done and keep going.
A couple of soldiers stayed in the challenge, but reset their days counter. Great news that you came back to the site straight away and hopefully you received some support and strength in checking straight back in. You must build on your previous success and positive mental attitudes to remain on track now for the rest of the challenge. You know how much better life is without gambling and the fact that you're now back on track shows this.
Keep at it folks.

Thanks clare
99 days to to get to the year - full steam ahead - Glads dad in for the coming week and marching towards that BIG milestone
Checking in really early - seeing I have the 2nd lowest day count after being on over 200 days is kinda depressing!
thoughts of gambling this weekend but have resisted. These early days are tough
like sonic boom i'm checking in early this week
521 days
Making the consistant effort is necessary for some.
well done to all
Well done Sonic Boom.
Keep resisting those urges, it will get easier as the time goes on. Day count is not the main thing here. Why not try thinking of your total days abstained in 2015 instead. ... Now that is a fab achievement. You should be proud and say I haven't gambled for 230 days in 2015.
Clare 🙂
Fell off the wagon today after 39 days of no fobt. Ended up in profit by a little bit only due to good fortune as at one point i was down. I told myself i will just have a quick game, but no, 4 hours or so of playing. i have a pounding headache. Got to put cash back in bank tomoz. Ive had some time off work for holidays and was getting complacent. My gaps between gaming are getting bigger which gives me hope, but for now im back to the start. Day 1 is tomorow.
Checking in early and safely on day 119, let's keep on marching troups towards a gamble free future xxx
Sorry to hear that no problem.
I used to find that having time off work was when I'd usually want to gamble the most. Perhaps it's time to stop entering the bookies altogether. Temptation to play the fobts is high when you're in there.
Best wishes and hope you can regain your enthusiasm to quit.

Checking in early on day 119, life is gamble free and getting better by the day, long may it continue.
Day 259

Day 93, checking in for the week. Tomorrow's day count will be done later in the afternoon / evening as I'm away for the weekend.
Great going, do you want to join us for a weekly check in and be added to the update each week Deanyboy?
Keep going folks and keep the check ins coming.

Thanks for the invite, but I'm only on now and again, mainly for inspiration when I'm feeling the 'tug' so will just keep to that....Everyone has their own battles with gambling and people consider victory in different ways, mine was to totally eradicate ANY form of gambling, as I gambled on all the usual ...that's how I measure my success, totally abstaining, no sneaky lottos, no scratches, no football bets placed by 3rd parties, I'd been doing the lottery since day 1, I still have the 1st day ticket printed in my ticket, I done the same numbers every draw, and it grew over time to include my roulette numbers, birthdays, houses I'd lived at until it was £70-108 per month, then there were the 'lucky dips' it soon escalates and gets out of control...a gamblers mind is different to a non gamblers, much like a alcoholic, drug addict etc....you've got to totally abstain otherwise the drug is still in your system...that's my only advice to all those trying to succeed in STOPPING gambling for good!
Thanks for the lovely update Claire, you are doing a great job,
Checking in on 476 days, in sunny Chapel St Leansrds, good to see so many early checkins, it means positive thinking lol.
Have a good gambling free week troops marching onwards OAU.
