Well it’s been nearly a month since last binge on the slots and to be honest I’ve thought about returning for another go but luckily been too busy to get into town  and I’m currently having to self isolate so no chance at the minute.

well another day that’s gamble free and hopefully a future that is.

On the temple of apollo in ancient greece it was written at the entrence "Know thyself". It is really hard to explain what sets of a trigger. That need too have another go. As slots have the worst odds on the planet it makes it almost impossible to explain but we addicts have that urge to get back and do it again and again and again why? We almost for certain know that it will not end well  but the urge to disassociate has a nasty pull. I get my disassociation from videogames these days because I know that the machines are rigged and there is no reason for me to give someone else alot of money because I need to dissconnect from the world when I can dissconnect and keep my money. It is that simple but I had to gett to know myself first. If you do it headlesly you will take a long time to change. If you take charge and understand why you tick like you do you will see that money is better of in your pocket than theirs. We are conditioned by the industry and they harvest our money through the advertisements that they do. Turn of your telly during the ads. Turn of the radio when they scream for your cash and make THAT a habit. Then you will start to see change.

Know thyself.

Best

C

Well since I started this thread I've had various relapse's, all usually after 4 weeks (once the pain and emotions of the previous loss has subsided).

Always follows the same pattern, go back to arcade's thinking I'll just have a quick punt, win some, win some more than loose it all.

Time to get focused and start living my life with out this addiction.

For today I won't gamble, and just take it one data a time.

Till tomorrow ....

Time is flying, so much to do, so little time to do it..

So why I have wasted so much time on those d**n slots.

seven days since that last visit, Although many a time I have had the urge to visit the arcade for a splurge.

Abstain I must, if I don't I will go bust.

so just for today, I won't be gambling my money away
