Thankyou Ade,Rach,Exmug and Del.

Emotional evening last night eldest had a bit of a meltdown last night about how he thinks hes a failure and dosent get things right o*g it was heart breaking to listen to.Not sure where it came from but he bottles up then lets go.so we had a cry and a very good chat and operation boost confidence is now taking shape.Trouble is he is an intelligent, thoughtful kind kid who has never caused me a moments trouble apart from the normal teenage hormonal grief.

Anyway i will be doing an Ade decorating this weekend as eldest bedroom is getting a mini make over.

As for me nothing to report as thinking things through about the eldest is now my number one priority for the time being. No time to even thing about gambling.

Stay Stay

E xx

Hiya E...just reading still here and thinking what a fab mum your eldest has got....don't know how old he is and no need to say on here but guessing school pressure/girls?..

Confidence is key with teen lads isn't it?..all competitive stuff jostling for position.....

The mini make over sounds fantastic?

Worked with a few young lads in my recent past....keep an eye on them on facebook..loco parentis Auntie Rach..think some of them forgot that i'm one of their 850 friends and can see what they are up to ..lol !!!! ....am no snitch and keep a distance but can see ebbs and flows the week and then right as rain the following day.

You get it all first hand there E....and Lioness doing a stirling job with your cubs....enjoy decorating the den...xx Hugs ((((((((((((((E)))))))))))))))

Hi Elizabeth thanks for stopping by 🙂

just read your posts and you said you might go to the docs well may I say its a good idea, in the past when i stopped for over a year I went got some tablets and they really did help it was like someone lifting a brick wall off my back I took them for about a year and at the moment I am think of asking them again because some days are worse than other i dont think its the gambling thing I just think it my life at the moment 2 teens and a hubby to keep happy and sometimes it impossible so it got me thinking maybe this is where I gambled in the first place my little escape.

anyway I must stop hogging your dairy haha

big hugs for you and any time you feel like a chat you can ask gamcare to pass your details on to me x

Thankyou girly girls.

Normal routine of work home, clean, cook and sit.

Think i might go to the docs Pink as although i dont think im depressed as such i do feel i need something to level out my moods as they are so up and down its silly.

I have to agree with the escape to gambling i only started as i was bored, played bingo Yawn then discovered you could win good money on slots. Then the more depressed i got in my relationship the further i sunk into gambling.

No gambling today yipee

Hi Elizabeth,

It's been a while. Totally understand the mood swings, don't get down with it. It's completely natural. Boredom and things going wrong in your personal life is also a common factor. The thing is that gambling no longer exists for you.

Enjoy your weekend. I could think of better ways to spend it! Kids are everything though.

Take care,

IanB. x

still doing acceptance hun and like you say the mind can play tricks.

Can relate to moods although for me its more like big excitement then restlessness as time going too slow..am not very patient....I get more agitated and itchy feet than down these days.

Anger gave me the feeling of movement like climbing out of a mountain...now on top of the mountain and wondering what now?...more mountain? xx

Hi Liz, just to let you know I am now back yet again, been keeping my eye on you and you just keep those positive vibes coming, you are doing so well, wish I could say the same. Just think by the time the 2 weeks are up it will nearly be clock change and more daylight hours, spring is on its way, maybe that will make us all feel brighter. Tc x

Hey Elizabeth,

great to hear you are feeling positive about some things. I can totally relate to that feeling of not having much money and your mind turning to gambling. For me it was 'imagine if I just doubled this £20 to £40 with one spin on the roulette wheel' and then when I lost it, thats when I started chasing. And on the odd occasion I did win, I would grow it to a large amount then blow the lot. I think that is the ultimate definition of an addict of anything - lacking the physical or mental capability to stop. Thats why you are doing so well to sit on your hands and ride it out - it will get easier in time. Its a matter of un-learning the habit - its something we all must do on here but I am under no illusion as to how difficult it is.

Stay strong and have a good weekend

Dara
