Thanks stuart, true it's best not to worry on things that fall outside of your control. I can't change how society runs and the things in it but I can control my actions and what I choose to expose myself.
Day 50, something of a small landmark and a win getting to this mark I think. World Cup is over now and I think maybe that removes one trigger, although in fairness I was watching the football without ever really thinking about gambling to be honest. But it also perhaps increases the likelihood of me getting a bit bored with no more games to look forward to in the evenings. So I need to stay vigilant and ensure I don't get tempted to start thinking about gambling again. Overall I still feel I have a long way to go to get my life to where I want it to be, slow progress on that front at the moment but I am at least trying to be patient with myself. Just leading the same life but without gambling is already a big improvement and I'm realising I am going to have to start using all that extra time and energy I have in a meaningful and beneficial way.
Always remember, the trigger is the smallest part of the gun..It does nothing if you dont pull it and start the chain reaction
