Hi Duncan

So nice to hear how you're taking comfort in your wife. I'm sure she really appreciates you letting her in and being brave enough to admit that u need her help.

Morning Duncs

No doubt you have a full and exciting day planned.

It is great that you and your wife can talk about this addiction.

I do not suppose many of our family or friends really understand about addiction. My OH really is uncomfortable talking about feeling, so for him I think he sees me getting back to my old self and if we do not talk about it it will not happen again.

He is still angry about the money wasted and will be forever I think along with the disappointment.

So I do envey you , I think it helps being able to talk it through, but for me that ain't gonna happen. I have this site and that for now will have to be enough.

Look at that a post without a joke . Normal transmission will be resumed before you know it.

evening diary. What a day! Is it me or in some wierd way can we be glad we are a compulsive gambler in recovery today i set out to do very little, and after reading my mail lazing on the couch, the wife was out on some well earnt retail therapy and then up and at em! I re arranged my oasis all 15 square foot, have re potted all my tubs put in more tomato, lettuce, peppers, radish and sunflowers all seeds in my makeshift greenhouse, oh and my first runner beans in! All this then cleaned out the garage again! And whilst doing so cooked a roast leg of lamb to die for. Now chilling with a bar of chocci on the couch.today i did not stress i have not smoked and i achieved alot. If i were a non gambler would i have done the same maybe?? But with this much enjoyment and a whopping big smile i dont think so. Here is to life and many more days like today. duncs compulsive gambler no bet today.

Morning,

Quite mouth watering thinking of the delicious , home grown fare , which will be gracing your table through out the summer.

15ft let's not forget its about quality not quantity .

Wonder is this a new hobby , or have you always dabbled.

Any way have a good week, watch out for the snow?

Now that sounds like a day in heaven (a couple of posts ago).

It just goes to show what life is like when you don't gamble.

So why gamble?!

Yo

Just wanted to thank you for your post , and what you wrote makes a lot of sense.

I live just along the south coast from you, so we both benefit from the sea breezes.

As for being Margo, defo not a posh bird. Much more of an ageing hippy.

All ready plans a foot , for a party in the Cheers bar, on reciet of a post to say you've been awarded first prize , in the county show for growing the perfect spring onion.

DAY 70. ten weeks no bet.

70 days ago I could not see the end of my nose!! it was burried so deep in an addiction that i could not smell the danger i was in,i could just see i was blinded by justifying every came down to a bet,I reckon i started or ended 90% of every sentence i spoke with"I BET". Today ten weeks in with the armoury of a batallion I continue to source the light. I have found such a will to want to live gamble free that I like many others before me cant believe i let it get that bad,one day from losing the roof from above your head and that of the family you profess to love.I give thanks to that same family who have given still there undying devotion to me and I will return it today with equal measures. Honesty is today my biggest tool in my recovery and firstly with myself. So today a massive thanks to all you readers who have helped me more than you will ever know sorry to many to thank personally, I say together we stand united in our quest to say TODAY NO BET!!!

and that leaves us today better looking in our reflections tomorrow.

duncs compulsive gambler 10weeks no bet.

Hi,

I could feel your smile as you wrote that post.

What an amazing turn around from where you were 71 days ago.

Some fairies , only the special ones ( like me) have the power to see into the future. As I am a non gambler this disallows disclosed of any numbers relating to the lottery. But the prize I see in store for you is much greater, a gambling free existence and all the benefits that will enrich your life.

It is that simple , keep up with the dunc no bet and your there.
