Heard my boss was leaveing, so let me start creeping now. Lol..........
Wouldn't that be great, think what we could achieve as we would put in the same 129 % effort as we have to fight our addiction plus you would be able to hear the laughter miles away.
Well done does not really express what I feel, but well done any way ,all joking aside either company would be lucky to get you but then I am bias.
Dusty
DMac,
Excellent news on the job front. Well deserved. Hard work is rewarded and this is a perfect example of this. You have been working hard at your life for sometime now and now you are being rewarded with happiness.
Good for you.
Tomso.

Day79.
Thanks all for the replies it really does mean alot. Just been back for a 2nd interview at "job1" and the package is looking good and "job2" I have secured a 2nd interview working there all weekend so by monday I will know which way to go,which one will benifit me. Thats right I said me because the one huge thing that this addiction and arresting it has taught me is that I have to make the choices and today I dont feel like I am am stood on a rug any longer, that I am just waiting to have pulled from beneath me. I will through being me be making the most educated decision about what is best for me and in doing so all around me will benifit. I was really honest in both interviews about my addiction and will continue to be honest about it I know today I am stronger still in my resolve to "LIVE" and that being made possible by those magic words "NO BET TODAY"
Ga tonight for my weekly dose of valuable medicine.
duncs compulsive gambler 79days no bet.
Hi Duncs
Feel your pain there mate know one wants Joey Essex for a son even his own parents! I went through various phases the one that peed my mum off the most was probably refusing to have my hair cut until it was down to my hip and wearing really weird hippy clothing, looked like a cross between a witch and kate bush, not a good look! I'm sure he'll get past the wotsit toes phase but 13 is pretty young to start fake tanning (just from a girly position I would advise tinted moisturiser) he must fancy a girl, tell him to stop using it or you'll start picking him up from his class room and I guarantee the next time u see him he will be as pasty as the day he was born lol
Good going with the job thing aswell by the way, really impressive to be honest with your employers

DAY80.
Becky thanks for making me laugh I think that is the best evaluation of my youngest I have seen though I am sure he will stamp his feet and disagree!!.
GA last night, another dose of medicine and good to catch up with another gamcare member.I think that the lesson I have learnt again this week is not to judge people.I think it is easy to over analise every single thing I read and speak about as regards gambling and from it we form what is simply the best for our own recoveries to our addiction. This in return should surely help us and most importantly keep us in recovery,so I conclude that as a compulsive gambler I will do whatever suits me in my recovery and others alike should do what suits them and in the middle we will through our recoveries will be able with honesty share our experiences and become better people for it, I read a post earlier this week that said "will I ever get better?" and surely for all compulsive gamblers the answer is the same "YES" through one day at a time abstaining from gambling your life will get better. I am not here to judge I am here to recover!!!!.
I hope this makes sense I felt I needed to remind myself more than anyone.
NO BET today and a weekend of hard graft for me so I can make the correct choice in my working world.
Duncs compulsive gambler NO BET TODAY.
hiya Dunc...thank you again for popping in and yes..so right there about my pal...even though he has nothing to do with this site I recognise that my inability to not set clear boundaries has actually enabled him to stay stuck too...
Now at 44 his is about to be independent for the first time with no one to blame or be overly dependant on.
I have also done him a disservice for allowing things to carry on for fear of upsetting the applecart or loosing him as a friend.
A fruit punch chink to the weekend and heres to sunshine throughout all the British Isles and beyond ...
Ps ..The whippet sounds a fantastic idea and a northern Hi five to you...
Thinking of names now...Hovis?...Vera ?..Duncmacs Little Helper? ...lol...joking aside my Bro had 2 at different times and called them the same name....Sophie Tucker....after an americaan author I think...Whippets have such beautiful faces and Sophie is fab for a girl I think...
My pals got a greyhound from the Trust..an Irish dog...some of them have their ears cut off as they have the owners stamp tattooed inside I believe....when they are turfed out they cant be traced back if their ears are off...
Very sad...but Penny has a fab home now!!
Enjoy thee day Dunc....updates on the doggy will be read with much interest.
