Afternoon

Just in case you are out about tonight , just wanted to wish you everything and more for the weekend. So cool you get to try before you buy so to speak.

What an incredible journey , you have been on, ans soooooo very much has changed in what is relatively a short space of time. Truly believe this has been down to your tenacity , and leaping forward (one step at time) by taking the biggest steps you can.

I have such respect for you, cause I know how hard this journey can be.

Take care , celebrations when it is all sorted, choc milkshakes all round.

Keep us posted, as to how you are doing over the weekend.

Dusty

Hello mate,

Good to see you Thursday, sorry i missed the bulk of the meeting but if i get anything out of it then it was worth going. For me one guy (Bob i think) really cheered me up with a lot of what he had to say, especially when he made the joke asking what the PGA was!!!

The thing that really stuck out was the point he made saying we're just here for a short visit....we really must make the most of our time here because we don't know how long we have and i certainly do not want to waste another moment of my life in a betting shop!!

You are certainly enjoying yourself in recovery from what i can see anyway, keep making the right choices and you can continue to keep living this new life you have found.

All the best and hopefully see you in a couple of weeks. I'll come to Gunwharf one day to do some more shopping so maybe meet for a coffee if you aint at work but i'll text you about that nearer the time.

Keith

Yo,

Is there no end to your talents. A chef mmmmmm.

Picturing you in a high end eatery unless i am right left field and your options are a chippy on the sea front, or a Mac D in the high street lol

Have a really good day,

Dusty x

ps...just a quick post..partly for selfish reasons as trying to keep my mind occupied.

Thought of some doggy names and noticed your occupation there ...so thinking Fearnley...(as in Hugh) ..Finlay or Fin for short as in speedy and then an 80's throw back..Devo.....after the band that sang that song "Whip it"....Think I still like Hovis though ...lol

day82.

well job wise I now have a couple of days to weigh up the pro's and con's and then make up my mind as to were I will place myself, with irony this will co-inside with 90 days of my recovery as to it may be the day I start my new job and I feel that will be a fitting way to celebrate that milestone.

Well I kept myself busy yesterday through the biggest hyped gambling event of the calendar and that worked for me, I think for a compulsive gambler every day is sort of grand national day in a way so aside from the hype which from the eyes of recovery actually made me see how huge the gambling industry is. I am further inspired by my "gamcare family" who rode there storms too Well done all!!

NO BET TODAY.

duncs stepping forward never back.

One other question mate, if I wanted to self exclude from up to 10-15 bookies, what is the cheapest way of getting passport photo's, the last time I ever had any, they were about £7-8 for three. Any suggestions? I want to do the rounds.

Cheers

wilsy. Good to see back on the front page leading the charge! re the photos mate i dont think they have to be super so take one on your mobile and upload it to your pc then copy it. Photo paper is cheap. And i know it is not a laughing matter fella but you did a grand for no return in a week and want to scrimp on the photos! The compulsive gamblers brain! Scrambled! Well done again. Duncs stepping forward.

I know mate but I really do think those photo booths are a real rip off but good idea, I will get my girlfriend to take a photo of me looking glum and miserable, like some convict, then we'll print them off from the computer.

Thanks for your help mate, I will keep trying to unravel my complicated nut 🙂

Hi,

Glad it all went well yesterday.

Sea, or fire side, sea or fireside. I have the perfect solution, summer by the sea, winter by the fire.

Take both jobs , for 6 months and then swop. Why oh why can not all our problems be that easy to solve.

Have a great week, another great big gigantic enormous step forward .

Dusty

Still chuckling about you throwing your gambling stick , in the park for your new dog , shouting fetch blanc fletch blanc.i too like hovis.
