morning diary. Just been enjoying reading many diaries to install a large dose of stride in the step for another mad day at the stoves. I wish i could bottle the positivity from this forum and dish it up with my sunday menu. I doff my cap to all of you. We become stronger, more positive, more forgiving, more thoughtfull every day and i walk tall in the knowledge that in recovery we and our worlds will all benefit, so today be proud of what we have "the gamcare family" a place of better people who amaze and inspire constantly. Off to work now and cant wait to get at it WORK! ! Then even sweeter to return home this evening to catch supper and a stroll with the hound all in the company of my life,my heartbeat my sunrise my sarah x. Duncs stepping forward never back. Enjoy you day folks i will thankyou. One and all.

>>>>>>...Wheeling forward Duncs @@@@@@@@@... and just to say that it is down to the people on this forum like yourself and other people who regularly post to me that I am getting stronger...

I became very downtrodden and now in the words of Alan Partridge..Ah haaa ..im bouncing back!

I really think community of likeminds is so important no matter what our backgrounds and always break that word down to its literal meaning:

First we "come"...(turn up)

Then we "commune" (talk and share)

Then we "unite"..(unity and strength)

COMMUNITY.....we have it here and look at what can be achieved that couldn't while we were all stuffed in the little boxes of our minds....

In AA they used to say....."You might not like all of us but you will come to love us in a special way"....I must be the luckiest of all cos I like all of the people who post on my site....

Take care Duncs.,,,keep posting and Cheffing to the highest standard you can be and enjoy the process ....hope the fish went well.....xxx

Rach and Doo.....@@@@@@@@@@ keep on wheeling on.....xxxx

Hi

You may not be able to bottle the positivity, but it comes through like invisible vapour inhaled by the reader of your posts.

Which is probably why so many of us look forward to our daily dose of duncs diary.

Long may it continue.

evening diary.

Late checking in today been busy putting the touches together for the bar menu, finally got there once we had thrashed out all the ridiculus ideas the boss wanted to add LOL.

I would have whilst at it been agreeing with all his ideas well actually I would not because if I was still at it I would have still been in a black hole job wise if not worse!!! So today once again I have a half full glass and long may it continue, all the fish sold at the weekend so more to play with this weekend and home now to chill out with my wife and take the hound out to continue his off the lead training, which is a sight to behold he is usain bolt lightening fast!!! LOL catch up with the forum tomorrow thanks for all your support it helps.

16 weeks today bet free. I have kind of stopped counting the days, but the weeks now add up and I am proud to be were I am. I feel like I made a massive headway in work today I went home last night after listening to the bosses crazy ideas and costed them all out, today I brought it to work and presented him with it. He was so chuffed that I give a s**t!! I told him I wasted enough cash to cover the two of us and when my pay review comes along he may remember!!LOL

Today as you know I dont carry cash, why should I ?? I would only waste it LOL but I know also that through abstaining I dont have to worry, As Ironicly I used to whilst at it constantly fret over money and the need to have a mass of folding. How the tide has turned and for the better I know if I really want something we can afford it and yes I have debt but most folk do.To end today Day 112 NO BET I will continue to live and enjoy living made possible by those three words "NO BET TODAY"

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Hiya Duncs and good to see you are your chipper upbeat self ...

Noticed a few people talking about personal strategies with regards to money and it is good to see how we manage it...

I suppose with being honest comes the saying "know thyself" and in recovery going to any lengths to protect ourselves in the positive....which really does pay off on so many levels.

Your doing fantastic Duncs and 16 weeks is a great achievement....and long may you keep stepping forward and not back......

take care now...

Rach and Doo xxx
