Hey girl and glad your enjoying that time off. Grilling always a good thing and mine will be fired up tomorrow. Hoping a good t-bone or porter house goes on sale cause yeah sure do have a taste for one. LOL off to the farmers market in a bit to see what they got to offer. Haven't been to one yet this year and hear them prices are really up there. Guess I'll be finding out.

Happy grilling and be good.

Hi Judy and glad that your coping with them pesky urges. I find myself nodding along with all that you have said in that last post of yours.

I was trying to think of a well thought out and considered reply to your post, cos your considered thoughts around my work situation have really helped (me not want to be permanent).... and I wanted to return the favour. But then all my mind could think of was this " who get gets up first.... Is it the chickens or is it actually the larks???..." usually I get up with the larks but then maybe the chickens woke the larks with their clucking. Its an important point to muse on! 😉 lol

You seem to be doing mighty fine... having money for punctures and haircuts is a good thing. Take care.. S.A 🙂

Morning E.,

I was just telling Sis, what a pain in the a s s it is to write with this flashlight wedged under my chin. P and I live in about 700 square feet and finding privacy is almost impossible. I don't want to turn the lights on because it's not even 5AM yet! Getting up with the chickens or should I say larks? hmmm.. 😀

We are finally getting set to leave for our adventure on the cape. I say adventure because instead of watching fireworks we will be watching hurricane aurthur. The place we are staying is 5 minutes off the national sea shore. Hopefully we wont get blown off the planet. Lol

We got mom and the pets settled so there shouldn't be too much going on here. I hope. I was packing last night and one of the dogs emptied the entire contents of his bladder onto the floor! They know there is change coming and they get a little nervous. Especially this one because he had been abused and just hates change. He sounds a little like me.. sans the peeing at least for now.

Gambling is a distant thought for now. There are no opportunities where we are going. Massachusetts legalized gaming last year but, is still hesitant to put up casinos. There is a strong current building up against it and I am glad. It's the last thing our state needs. In spite of making it legal it will be put to the voters to decide whether we want it or not. That means we the people can repeal the current law. I think that's the right word. Anyway, I'm voting NO to gaming in the commonwealth of Massachusetts!

Listen to me sounding all political today. Anyway, I need to get ready. We are leaving in an hour. Keep an eye on us Ed okay? Love you, and talk soon. -joanxxx

LOL I thought you were long gone on that vacation and just leaving now, or is this a new one? LOL hell either way hope ya enjoy it and come back well rested. Saturday's farmers market was a bust and yeah just a lot of over priced veggies. Went to the Wednesday evening one here last night and yeah much better. maybe cause they served up some cold ones. LOL can't say I got much for veggies but did come home with just about everything else. Yup even a buffalo steak that will be hitting that grill on the 4th of July. Was pretty pricey but never had it before and thought what the hell. Got some cajun smoked salmon to share with the cat, along with some mad dog and Merrill barbecue sauces and seasoning. Hell only veggies I got was some mixed variety lettuce stuff. And yeah some awesome hand lotion made from goats milk that really made these fingers happy. LOL yeah these hands live in a bucket of water this time of year cleaning at that school. So yeah good stuff.

Well hope all troubles are forgotten on that trip and ya have a great time.

Hi E.

Typing from my iPhone today. May be easy for some but I'm old school and like to type with both hands. Lol! We are finally on the cape and hunkering down for Auther. Not too bad. Lots of rain expected but only tropical force winds expected.

It's beautiful here! I'm getting calmer. Around here folks leave their doors unlocked at night. I will never get used to that. Gambling only comes to mind when I log in but that means it's just crouching or laying low for now. I know better. I need a daily dose of the forum to stay sane. Sanity is saying NO. Just for today. If I don't get started I won't have to worry about stopping.

Sis, Soul, Duncs, S.A, Suzanne, Dragon Fly, Shiny, I take a risk listing names. I'm nothing special. So I mean no harm if I forgot anybody. I just wanted to say hi to all of you if you happen to be reading. You are all in my heart and on my mind today. I'm writing this from a very windy beach in Provincetown MA.

I guess that's it for now. Look after mom E. Am thinking of you and lighting snakes on the sidewalk and smoking punks on the Fourth of July! Lol. Those were good times! -Joan xxxxxxx

Surrounded by nature. Sipping Stella. I'm with my favorite person in the world. Just chillin. Went to a flea market earlier today bought a few things. Came home and took a nap.

Now we've got burgers sizzling on the grill. Crackers and fresh crab dip and more Stella. Somebody pinch me!! Gambling?! Why???? 😀 Life can be ///// some days but, those ///// days make days like these seem like heaven on earth. joanxxxxx

Hey Joan,

Heaven on earth.... No amount of anything could ever buy you that day, it was all mostly free, spent with people you love and who love you, hang on to those days and how you feel now And pull on that as a reserve if the shi t ones come....

I found as I moved through my recovery not that the bad days got less but I actually learnt new skills in how to deal with them and think about them in a different way.

Take care Joan.. Xx
