I can't say how helpful journaling has been for me and keeping a daily diary. It's part of my daily routine and I try to diary at least once per day and sometimes two. I find it a great way to take note of what each day has been like so I can read back every so often.Â
Does anyone else find them helpful to record recovery and also general life each dayÂ
Hi Stuart,
Yes I journal, usually twice a day. I journal in the morning and then I do a review at the end of the day, asking myself certain questions (like step 10). I have really benefited from doing this on a daily basis - helps to keep me focused.
Have a nice evening,
Kylie.
Writing a diary is the best form of relaxation for me and the best way to record how my life is going....... i like to set objectives for myself and the diary is a great great way to help put them in stone......

To be honest i rarely read back but i allways read any posts on my diary and they are allways a great help.

Hi Adam
I've heard a lot about goals and deadlines this week and think that will be one of the daily film topics
I think it's good to set deadlines to get certain things done rather than let them fester in the background of our minds
I also think goals are good but can add pressure so I tend to set goals and then break them down into mini goals leading to the overall one so it looks manageable. Rome wasn't built in a dayÂ
Love this topic, as you know keeping my recovery diary and coming onto the forum every day has been the single thing that has helped me more than anything else in my recovery. I really love having a space where I can be totally open and honest, and I can just dump all my thoughts out of my brain. It helps me so much just getting it all out, and another thing I love is looking back on old diaries, it's a great way to show how far you have come in your journey.Â
So well said Hopeful. It's a good way to keep track in those dip times. Keep posting my friendÂ
