So I'm on day 3 of being gamble free after 15 years of gambling weekly then daily
My journey so far as already had some extremely highs and lows yesterday I struggled with the football being on but left my phone in a different room and just watched final score with my family, my brother didn't say anything about his bets which I'm super pleased about as he promised he wouldn't.
Today I woke up at 7 and really wanted to do some betting or slot, I just felt like I needed a hit so instead of even picking up my phone I went downstairs had a coffee and watched the news, I've just gone on a walk with my daughter and it was great to listen and show her things without my phone.
Just taking each day as it comes.

Hi mate so glad to read your on few days now without betting, I’ve literally just created an account as I’ve just spoke to an advisor about my betting, I’ve been betting on sports for 30 years and even though I can just limit my funds to bet smaller and save money I just cannot bring myself to do it as you no yourself it’s that fox and buzz but by hoping to talk to someone I will be able to do it, As you say it can even be a walk and leave your phone but I’m everyday betting and ain’t getting any better, Congratulations to you and hope it continues just hope I can do itÂ
@au8wnjfrd3 you'll do it mate if you need a chat feel free to comment on my posts and I'll chat with ya, best thing to do is go on GamStop and ban yourself from sites I did it didn't think about it and now I can't go on any sites.

@oa40vwd8pf Hi Niallando! Im a volunteer at GamCare and I just wanted to pop on here and congratulate you on all your hard work so far. This is such a huge achievement to have gone 3 whole days without something you have been so used to for 15 years. I can see from your later comment that you had a spot of trouble at one point and really wanted to gamble again but managed to pull yourself back...again this is such an achievement. It does seem that when people decide to give something up, for many its in the first few days that people seem to be in more danger of falling back in to old habits. Perhaps sometimes that is because it is felt that they havn't gotten very far in the process yet. They often don't have the feeling of 'I have come too far to turn back now' that people who are further along in their journey have. But when you look at this from a different perspective and think that there are a whopping 72 hours in 3 days, that is 72 whole hours that you have completed successfully. Google advises me that there are 4320 minutes in 3 days (I don't do math 😆 ). Thats 4320 times that you chose not to pick up your phone to gamble. Its actually pretty incredible when you think about it and you have definitely earnt the right to say 'I have come too far to turn back now'.Â
A belated congratulations on your 3 day anniversary and I hope things are still going well for you.
