Hi Joanna,
Rolling on towards the three month milestone, time flies when you're not gambling eh? Hope your garden is flourishing, I always get roped in for compost bag carrying duty by my mum when I'm about, but that's as close as I come to gardening apart from eating the results!
Congratulations on your continued victories over this addiction,
Ryan
Many thanks Ryan - glad all going well for you.
Day 81 - spent some time today helping small grandson put stickers in his Brasil World Cup album. The Greek team look a bit scary!
Joanna
great to read those continued days of abstinence are being added to.
For that be very proud.
I laughed at your last post because those stickers are the hottest property in my house at the minute
And too boot it is my two boys aged 20 and 15 who are in the relentless pursuit to see who can complete first!! lol
youngest has the edge as at school he has the ability to swap them
I had a vision of my Joe sitting in his uni seminar today asking if anyone has any swaps lol!!!
Truth is things like collecting stickers were things my own compulsion to gamble stole from their childhood years
It is great to gift it today.
thanks for sharing,raising a smile
Duncs stepping forward never back
Many thanks Duncs - it always gives me a warm glow to read of your family contentment now. You are right - gambling robbed us of enjoying those simple pleasures which were always there but to which we were oblivious in our futile pursuit of nothing very much.
Day 81 - just 19 to go for my century.;o)
Hi Joanna,
Well done and thanks for your post last week.
Hope you and your family are all doing well.
I look forward to reading your 100 days free posting. Keep it going, keep strong.
Mum is still smiling, and we are all very happy because I have not gambled today...
Kick a demon today
Love peace
Hi wayforward - Glad all well with you (and Mum). Keep the smiles coming.
A blackbird is singing its heart out in the pouring rain outside as I type - oh for the simple life of a bird..... apart from the cats of course.
Day 85 of sanity. Saw a TV ad for ***** Bingo recently, aimed at ladies - "Enjoy the buzz.."
Yeah, right.
Hi Baggins... I saw the very same advert. They know exactly what they are doing, but we know better. The best buzz of all is NOT to play.
Well done on your 85 days gamble free. Take care... S.A 🙂
Many thanks S.A. - and best wishes to you too.
Day 87 of sanity. Had some dental work done today and was actually able to pay for it with 'real' money rather than going into overdraft.
(Must have been caused by all that biting of the rug when I was gambling.....)
Hi Baggins
It's good to read a post where someone has got to day 70 and using real money well done
Keep going and give yourself a big pat on the back
Best wishes Suzanne xx
Thank you Suzanne - good wishes to you too.
:o)
Day 88 - in recovery mode after an afternoon playing pirates with the grandchildren. So glad they didn't make me walk the plank....
Yo ho ho!
Hi Joanne
Thanks for your kind words and a very well done on day89 which it is now
Keep going strong
Best wishes Suzanne xx
Thank you again, Suzanne. Yes - day 89 for me today, and that's what I feel in years after yesterday and now a mammoth lawnmowing session!
Looking forward to the big 9 - 0 tomorrow...
Morning Joanna
Thanks for comments again
Have a good gambling free day
Best wishes Suzanne xx
Wha-hey! 90 days at last - just another ten and I get my telegram from HRH...
