Congratulations on the milestone and keep on taking one day at a time.
CW
Thank you both and thanks CW for some constructive criticism over the last year. Best wishes, Phil.
Morning Phil,
Many congratulations on your achievement.
Best wishes
Thank you Bal. Just been thinking about the chaos in Cardiff when England hit town for the Six Nations rugby tomorrow - very conflicting if you are half English and half Welsh like me! Plus it clashes with the Spurs v Liverpool game which my friend and I are "rivals". Hey ho, good to be able to watch sport without thinking about gambling. Best wishes, Phil.
Ironically after asking about an early Saturday chatroom I won't be able to make it today! Anyway for those of you do - hope it's a good chat. Best wishes, Phil
I'm on a train. Chatroom not open?
Seems to be Phil, I tried to get in but no-one there 🙁
May I add my congratulations for hitting a year Phil!
As for the chatroom, disappointingly, it appears to be down. I've alerted the Gamcare wallahs to this.

No brainer there Phil. Eddies heroes the ones to follow!
Good on you for your year.
Thanks a lot for your nice comments. Phil
I feel I've found some inner strength within myself in the last 12 months. I stopped gambling as a way of coping with anxiety and have not had a bet for 370 days. I started a tranquilliser cessation program and am now on a relatively low dose compared to last April. I believe we can be strong even when we feel terrible. I achieved a lot in the last year and hopefully I/you will achieve more this year - one day at a time. Best wishes, Phil.
I hope the diary post above didn't sound at all boastful - no way was that my intention. I think I was in my clumsy way trying to say there IS hope.....whatever path you take. Best wishes, Phil.
Phil was a great post mate and a sign of how far you have come with hard work. And don't be embarrassed to say so. you my freind have earned the right to post however you want as does everybody here
Peace out
Well friends I made a right balls up last night. The subject of gambling came up between my wife and I. I mentioned pawning (and retrieving) the wedding ring which I thought I had told her before. She insisted I hadn't and really lost her temper.....which obviously I had to take and not retaliate. So the trust now after a year of not gambling has gone from 7/10 to 3/10 she says. I betrayed her I know but I genuinely thought I had told her. Best wishes, Phil
Well she knows now, so you can move forward. Her emotions are very fragile at present so that won't have helped the situation, but you are facing problems together, you will return to 7/10 and beyond, provided you stay gamble free. Best wishes Phil x
Affected by gambling?
