Hi Jason good to see you are doing so well.

3 weeks is a good feeling (I'm just a day ahead of you on 22 days)

2 days in 900 is fantastic and I think if can match or better that figure in a few years time I'll be delighted!

Keep it going! 🙂

Best wishes,

CJA

Day 26 of no gambling and feeling good. With Xmas coming money is tight and occasionally i have the silly thought of if only i won a few hundred quid. However, i know i wont... so i must remember, i cannot stop so i cannot win 🙂 Have a good day everyone!

Day 34, days seem to be flying by at the moment...

For some reason (maybe because the feelings are still fresh) this seems to be the easiest time to me.Its further down the line when the urges tend to come back. Always trying to stay busy even though work seems to be a little slow at the moment! Have a good day everyone

Day 40, glad to get to a mini milestone 🙂

Am absolutely skint at the moment, spent all my money on xmas pressies but tend to get a pretty decent xmas bonus from work. So am literally holding out on no money until then! Would normally try and gamble to get some extra money but not any more, im winning by not gambling. Enjoy your week people

Day 47, nothing much to report. Keeping busy to the lead up to Xmas...

Nearing the 50 day gamble free mark which is very positive. Not had any major thoughts about gambling either which is great. I continue to come on this forum to read and try to help myself and others and find it a great help.

Hi Jason Thankyou for posting on my thread my son seems to be doing ok at the moment. His sister has been poorly this, in hospital and he has been a good help and very caring. We havnt talked about gambling since last Wednesday and as far as I can see he has gambled £30 in last 10 days. I do hope he is looking at how this is effecting his family and wants to try his hardest for himself and us. I think by him simply knowing we know the truth and are keeping any eye on things and will challenge him he is realising he has to do something about it. I know he will have blips. maybe he has admitted to himself he does have a problem but doesn't want to admit that to us? Is that wrong? I hope he can turn his life around like you have, your mum must be so pleased with how you have done. Yes you have had a blip but you didn't let it carry on! That is admirable and shows you are in control. - wcid

Thanks for the post WCID. It certainly sounds like you are helping him to realise he needs to stop/slow down. It depends how it works for him. Me personally, i need to not gamble completely as i know if i start i won't want to stop. Thanks for the kind words, my mum had been very proud of me and that is one of the reasons i have been able to stop myself from going back to it. Anyway, hope you have a lovely xmas, keep doing what you are doing for your son. Take care

Day 60. Happy New Year to all on the Forum. 2015 was a very good year for me in the main, one very slight slip up. But focusing on the positives, i spent over 99% of the 365 days gamble free. 2016, i will not gamble. I have found this forum a real help and will continue to post updates and help others where possible.

Going to be a very tight next 3 weeks and going back 3-4 years ago i would have tried to gamble to make sure i had enough money. I know i cannot stop so i cannot win. Therefore i wont gamble 🙂

Well done Jason, great to see you are still on track! Hope to see you turn that 99% gamble free to 100% in 2016.

All the best,

CJA
