Working on grafting at work for the next month to see where i can get to at work,,,,,, see whether i can make more of a difference......  Today i cleaned the recycling bins along with my normal jobs......Tomo im going to do a gas audit,,,,,,, also im going to starrt to do slip test readings......

Today has been a long day as i was up at four am.......Its been productive and ive done a fair few steps so am happy......

Just looked at my finances for the month and apart from spending 25 pounds on a coat and 85 pounds on food (most of which is still in my cupboard (soup)) ive spent nothing..... my bills were 475 so 1200 - 475 - 110 = 615 pounds saved towards debts......

I started to have money in my account this year rather than sending it over to my dad...... this is good as it will give me more experience having said money in my account for the future...... as when they older i will have to deal with money more and more......  I thought about transfering it over as i like to have little money and scrimp and save....... but then i thought with it in my account (saving towards paying my folks the 64500 i owe them towards my flat) i can also gian the interest on it each year which ive worked out over nine years will be and extra 9000 pounds so will save me a years time in saving......

ill aim to save 7000 a year (super tight budget of that) then the interest on top literly goes up by 300 pounds each year....... so 300, 600, 900, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2100 and 2400 so in 8 years i hope to have 7000 x 8 = 56,000 plus the interest of 10,800 = 66,800........ plus the 6000 i started with this year so 72,800

so 72,800 - 64500 = 8300 now then i can pay my folks back all money ive owed them so i have no debts and own my flat outright then also have 8300 pounds in my kitty which id like to use as a buffer for if i lose my job or want to take some time away from work....... ive allways wanted to take six months off in a summer around the time of a footy tourny...... whether i do or just take some time off and retire early i dont know but my planning will really have paid off for me.

All this is assuming i can get 5% interest at least on my isas savings accoutn thru the duration of this saving....... at mo this year i got 7 percent on half my saving and 4% on the rest....... also any money thats being saved for the entire year obvs makes more interest so starting next year ill have 6000 sitting getting interest for the whole year then 12000 the year on and so on unill the seventh year

i think this all works out....... maybe wrong with figures (its difficult to work out precise interest)......just going to make sure i earn 1200 and save half of it each month like rent as i usually do each month and year.....

Hi Adam

It's been a bad week for steps. 23k as I've been really busy and not been able to do a lot of walking. GA was really good tonight. A new meeting that I haven't been to before but very welcoming and a good bunch with some amazing shares. Miss the chatroom and might well be back tomorrow as getting to the London GA room tomorrow is looking impossible.

evening feeling really good tonight.....ive spent the last two weeks focusing on work..... focusing on grafting at work..... and ive managed to firstly get the gas audit done, secondly clean all recycling bins, third empty all confidential bins, fourth keep up to date with all other daily tasks i do at work each day and week......  A few weeks ago i put in for a weeks holiday which would of got authorised but my mum said that it was a waste as weather isnt soo good this time of year....... so i cancelled and to be fair although its tough start of each week getting into the swing of things i feel that i can rest after work and having lots of holiday over the final six motnhs of the year wil be lovely and well earnt.......

I cooked sea bass yesturday (my first time eating it)...... it was very nice and will have again.

My mum gave me the money for christmas present towards my simulation vr game i bought last month...... this means i can continue with my goal of not spending a penny on gaming this year to tighten my belt a bit.

Ive eaten two tubs of ben and jerrys over past two weeks and its not helping my winter weight...... my work trousers are super tight so will aim to eat a bit less...... and continue witth my fitness routine.

Steps wise ive ddone 65k this week..... wont go out tonight so ive got 5 k to do tomo which is fine.

All the best Adam

hi stuart thanks for popping by........ last night i went for a walk after chat to sainsburys and back,,,,,,, took me to 68k then went to waitrose today so over the 70k target.......  Watched the midday game thhis midday...... then played gt 7 and completed a few races........ managed to find out best cars and their upgrades needed to win the races thru you tube videos....... so gone from 230 races first and 40 races left to 24 races left over the past few weeks........   Really think grinding out the weeks of work is a good idea as i can focus on summer being my break where i can sit in my garden and get a tan..... tthen winter holiday days watching footy......

My diary was on page two of the forum (first time in a while), meaning there is a fair few posts over the last day so hopefully that means more people are seeking help......

Ive got two fillings (cheese and tomato lol) being put in this wednesday at the dentist..... gonna cost 182 pounds on top of the 80 pounds i spent on the check up......  The injection is the only painful bit but im used to injections now..... will be good to get them sorted......  ive been paid yesturday and just means a bit of budgeting to mean that ill still save 500 this month towards debt.....

ill just go back now andd look at my objectives for the year and post a update

so currently objectives one is achieved...... no vices in 2026 so far.  Objective two is complete no money spent on gaming..... ovjective three is the tricky one......  March is the last month of my first yearst independent saving and ive saved just under 7k (which is what was planned) so the great..... ive planned to save a bit more this year but it all depends on what will need to be spent on the flats maintenance charges this year as they want to repair roofs that are leeking, repair hand rails, repair garages, paint, put up new gate, and all this will come in at thousands and thousands above whats in the pot....... so altho i dont want to spend 5000 on maintenance over next few years it looks as tho i will have to...... so one of my next five years savings amount could be spent on this!!!!!!....... But not taking that into account im saving between 500 and 700 a month.....so objective wise thats another one achieved...... Then lasty the living a healthy life eg eating, exercise , stress levels, sleep etc ive definitely achieved thru the first two months of the year......

SO ALL OBJEctives achieved this year soo far horray
