So after 13 days clean I gambled again and lost the little money I had , it’s really hard when you work all the time and don’t see any of that money because all of it goes to gambling , I gambled I won my money back from that night but couldn’t walk out until all money was gone I can’t ever walk out while I still have money in my wallet . Now I know for sure gambling isn’t about money it’s only about getting high and money is only the tool to get the drug . There is no ammount that I could win that would ever make me stop gambling forever and never gamble again therefore the only solution is to stop .

Can you hand over financial control to someone? Not having access to money could be the biggest step in your recovery!

Good luck 🤞🏻

Hi Peter,

my heart goes out to you big time , you sum everything up in your sentence below

Now I know for sure gambling isn’t about money it’s only about getting high and money is only the tool to get the drug.

If I knew the answer  I wouldn’t be on this site, but you know what I am really glad I am because I feel your pain and completely understand why you keep putting yourself through it. The highs (winning) become a byproduct of what we do , but the lows are incredibly destructive not just for our self’s but everyone we interact with . Gambling for me is all consuming and completely controls you as a human being, win or lose your capacity to be present in life is almost non existent.

keep listening to peoples stories / struggles/ success because without these your will never understand,  I urge you to call the support line

No body is perfect but by posting on here shows that you have the strength and willpower to beat this addiction.

don’t be a faceless victim to this disease, don’t sell yourself short , Take the Support and beat it
