First day to end this addiction

Day 99.....been a real week of extremes one day feeling perky next day so so low. But Friday is here and another week has passed. Had another flick through past diaries last night and even thought I was skint before gambling things were pretty simple, got paid, paid bills and budgeted rest of the money. Then gambling arrived and blew that theory, some of the amounts I wasted, won and lost really blows my mind. But now I have been through reading them the past(and the money is gone) only the future to focus on. So on my last day of double figures I say f*** you gambling, I'm leaving you in the past. Here's to moving on, have a great GF day everyone S 🙂

Day 100 Massive thanks to everyone on this site which has been a lifeline to me on better days and in the darkest hours. I genuinely feel like a different person from the one who was a wreck at the start of this journey. I have learnt so much about myself and other people, so although not in good circumstances this has been the best thing for me. Have a peaceful, fun and GF weekend S x

Lol thanks Deano.......am glad to be here! Things look brighter although do have ups and downs but I guess 5 years of gambling isn't going to erase quickly but am slowly putting the past to rest and the only way to go us forward. Hope you're having a great weekend S 🙂

sorry I missed your big 100 day, great to see you made it in one piece, but seen as your now on 101, I think we should all put gambling into room 101 and banish it from our lives forever keep smiling your doing great and life is getting better ever day even if it sometimes doesn't feel it. Day 103...A drop in the ocean but am getting there, with every morning I wake up having not gambled I feel like a better human. Thought provoking day though, first of all reading Duncs post-heartbreaking to be pushed so far that you would think it'S the only way out. So great to see that everyone here is behind him and sending positive thoughts. Also had a really long chat to a lady who had been through the ringer big time but still had a 'make the most of what you've got attitude' inspiring. But the realisation I feel like I listen more,think more and feel more compassionate as a result of not gambling means so much. Take care and let's all be GF for ou r own peace of mind S 🙂
