@j5a6meyr4z Thank you and yes, I am under no doubts as to how bad my addiction has become over the 7 years of slots.  By spare money, I mean any money other than for essential living expenses and a few home jobs here and there.  No ‘pot’ has been untouchable.  I am literally burning through money as soon as it hits my account then paying myself back with the last remaining pot of money I have from my workplace pension.  I feel sick to my stomach at the thought of what has happened to the rest of it - a career’s worth of earning and saving gone!

8 days no gambling
Now into a second week. I’ve had plenty of weeks of no gambling before depending on the money flow in a month so not counting it as too much if an achievement yet.  But what feels different this time is that I actually hate what gambling has done to me.  It is a monster that has sucked me dry. Â
Have been out in the sun with one of my hobby groups today.  £15 spent on coffee and a few snacks.  10 times that amount would not even touch the sides on a slot machine.  100 times that could easily be list in just a couple of hours.  How gambling distorts the value of money! Â

Yes, I have put Cold Turkey on my computer. Â and BetBlocker on my phone. Â I know there are ways slots could still slip through but it is friction. Â No interest in online anyway at moment after some very cruel periods over the years.
