So today is do two and I had a massive wobble. I would of fallen had I not signed up to the gamstop site! I couldn’t login and that’s all that stopped me. So grateful for that. Today was my day off work so tried to keep busy but when I stopped and sat down that’s when the temptation came. I know I’m a long way off but I’m going to try set my self goals with rewards at the end hoping it’ll motivate me. Back to exercising tomorrow as well if nothing else I’ll tire myself out that much I’ll be a sleep and they’ll be no chance of temptation.

Never really thought about where my gambling started but here we go.

When I was 17 I meet a boy and we fell in love. We spent must of our time out in pubs and so began the gambling...

Fruit machines... his dad introduced us to them, the buzz of that first win after only spending £5. It carried on from there we bought a house and our socialising consisted of pubs and arcades. We’d bounce from one to the next every night after work. Weirdly though we always paid the bills and never got into debt. This went on for 3 years till we split for different reasons.

I then meet my current partner and he is dead against gambling, he sees it for what it is a waste of money. It was hard when we first got together when we went on dates and I’d seat us so I could watch people play, I could even tell when the machines would drop and what features they play. Sad I know. As time went on I stopped paying as much attention to the machines and gambling wasn’t a thing to me any more but I’d still tell people I was an ex gambler.

That’s enough memories for one night but it does feel good to get it wrote down
