Hi coo coo, (that's stuck now lol)

Why try and climb Everest if it's too high, try small hills and then progress, even if you start with a mini molehill lol.

You know where I am, support is here from me as always my little friend, if needed.

Take care and look after you

Hi Sandra
Thanks for popping over much appreciated.
I have no one to talk to as the 3 people I confided in passed away last year. The overtime will help the finances but my OH has left and just feel a bit low.
Take care my friend

Hiya,

Its hard not to over think stuff. When ive been stressed and got things on my mind (which i did friday) the thoughts just won't go away and it takes 24 hours or so just to calm myself and return to a normal way of thinking and being. Like you say, yesterday is yesterday and today is today. Whats done is done, nout we can do about the past, all we can do is live in the moment.

I hope your car gets sorted, without it costing an arm or a leg. One of these days i will have a car, but it just stresses me out the thought of investing the money, only to then have it break down or need more money spent on it on top of all the usual fuel and and tax and insurance. I don't undertsand how young people have cars. I guess family helps people out a lot. Unfortunately due to my gambling past I can neither get bank loans or funds from family. keep saving isn't it and no gambling splurges. Good to read that "it was just a tenna"... I don't think ive ever done just a tenna... it escalates rapidly.

Pain and stress goes hand in hand me thinks. When i get stressed it goes to my neck, it just aches, all the muscles tensing up and staying tensed up. A good run seems to help.

Take care.. S.A 🙂

Hey Sandra,

Dust yourself down my little golf ball, and get back on that recovery bus......that's an order by the way!!

You have so much to live for. Get back to the ODAAT routine. This may be the jolt you need to get back on top of your recovery.

Sending you all my support.

Hang in there.....you can do this.....recovery is possible....

Stay strong

Ade x

That post is like a rainbow sesuo...The product of the rain of the slip & the sunshine of recovery! You have always spoken such important words to me & I have always asked you to take your own advice. Now I am begging you...Read them back, listen to them & believe them!

This journey is not about how much money you have in the bank it is about learning to deal with your emotions & whilst I didn't know you 2 years ago, I can see how much you have grown in the last few months & I am proud of you! You will not let yourself go back!

Ah Sandra... so sorry to read that it all feels a bit rubbish at the moment. Rest assured that your not alone. I have walked in a very similar shoes (albeit a bigger size) many many times. That heart wrenching moment when the bank finally says no and the gamble is finally up. For me it sometimes feels like a relief.

Its easy to convince ourselves that gambling is somehow a good idea (despite everything)... its the only addiction where it can seem like a solution as well as a problem. Its not of course.... gambling is only a soul destroying problem. We have to keep in touch with the reasons that led us here in the first place. It is not easy.

You are now getting back on the recovery boat and taking the middle seat. Thinking of you

Warm regards... S.A
