Dropping in to give you a hug ((((Sandra)))). Like the others here, I have huge respect for you. You are doing an amazing job in the fight to take control of those demons that always try to suck us in. Don't let down your guard and know that we're all rootin' for you and fighting alongside you.

Hi Sandra

Was thinking about you earlier... i know what its like to feel a bit s**t every now and again and to find life tough sometimes.. however, you sound like a fighter (like myself) and these bad times eventually pass so we just got to fight on and the good times will return very quickly.. good to see you are also keeping well away from the devil gambling also..

Cheers

Craig

Hi Sandra,

Hope the balance is still going well for you today, and that the good days are still adding up. There's only one direction life offers us, and that is forwards, so that's the only way to go.

Well done for your continuing victories beating this addiction, and may your notebook forever be in your pocket.

Ryan

Thank you so much all xxx

Dear diary,

Ramble on a way lol..yep..work is getting on top of me again..trying to stay calm, let it go past and don't overreact with things. Tough...find it very tough, but it is what it is. The rest of my little world seems to stay in a right place. Not perfect, not too exciting...but peaceful. Urges not as strong, i know even work problems will not push me to devils hands..been there, done it...thank you very much dear addiction - but no more!!!

Today is 40 weeks in my recovery... very cheap slip in that time, which was the best kick up my a**e to wake up from destroying nightmare. Wouldn't of come back fighting if not of you dear soldiers. Something i will never forget and always b thankful for...((( all )))

Day at a time

life is in our hands..why not to mk something nice out of it?...we all have right to find that peace and happiness with ourselves...no need to smash it all into pieces by giving addiction the way..

Oh..dear..ramble over lol..

One day ticked off..two to go...work on a weekend should b banned lol

Yo,

This is the third time I have written this post . That will teach me for messing bout with the date and time on candy crush . Maybe in a months time my messages will suddenly ping onto your thread lol

So I would sign that petition against working weekend !

Well done on your 40 weeks and I truly hope that you are getting 40 winks to set you up and put you in good stead for what ever the work place throws at you tonight 🙂

Looking back reaching 40 weeks , must have seemed like a mission impossible , but hay ms (lol) there you go . Got the pin , and the days crossed off one by one .

High five for that one !

Every gamble free day , we increase our strength , to face and fight what ever life throws at us .

Just a question of continuing in the same vein , cos you and I both know , one bet and that strength evaporates .

Well s o d that , I know one thing for sure, that you and me both will see another sunset with our recovery in tact . With it our resolve to create a better life for ourselves gains momentum .

Hope you slept well , that you wake up soooo proud of what you have achieved , cos work problems ect pales into insignificance.

Why ....... Cos we are winning ( hope it's ok to say that ) the biggest fight of our lives .

Hugs sweat pea

Shiny xxxxxxxxx

Hi Sandra.... work is such a conundrum isn't it. We work we get stressed or we don't work and we get stressed, cos we need to work to pay for stuff. You seem to be coping with the ups and downs of work mighty fine though. Keep going soldier! 🙂

O and well done on your gamble free time. Another mighty fine achievement. Regards.. S.A 🙂

Hi Sandra

40 weeks into your recovery.. That's amazing.. you are doing so good. Keep fighting..

I know what you mean about work getting on top of you. It has always been one of my crux's to be honest and in the past when i got really stressed through work i would turn to gambling and that would just magnify my problems so it was a lose lose situation. Now i still get stressed from time to time through work but i just concentrate on my breathing, self coach myself and find myself calm down pretty quickly.

Look how well your life will be in general since you've been in recovery. Night and day i'm sure from when you were in the grips of addiction.

We will all still get problems in life while not gambling, that's just life and it sucks sometimes but the good days will always outweigh the bad days.

Anyway, just a wee message to you to let you know i am thinking about you and supporting you. I'm gearing up for a wee Sunday night walk.. quite enjoy it (as long as the rain stays away)

Cheers

Craig

Hi Sandra

still not home but at least I have my laptop up and running again so had to write immediately to say than you for all the support recently when I have struggled in a major way at times.

Think I can see some light at the end of the tunnel and emerging to a better place which from reading your diary is also how you are feeling at the moment. Like you work is major hassle at times and hope the good things in life like the 40 weeks compensate for the yukky bits for you and that there are many more to come (good bits not yukky bits).

Been away so long cant even write a proper sentence but hope you know what I mean and how grateful I am.

xxx

Thank you all xxx

“We all get lost once in a while, sometimes by choice, sometimes due to forces beyond our control. When we learn what it is our soul needs to learn, the path presents itself. Sometimes we see the way out but wander further and deeper despite ourselves; the fear, the anger or the sadness preventing us returning. Sometimes we prefer to be lost and wandering, sometimes it’s easier. Sometimes we find our own way out. But regardless, always, we are found.”
