Thanks Jas, ands and David

Just checking in again. Day 54 and I did not gamble. Had thoughts about it, its hard when you almost lose the argument in your head! but I got there in the end.

But you won that argument and you should feel very proud that you did! Another big fight won!

And tomorrow will be day 55 and not day 1!

Well done!

After tomorrow I will have done 8 weeks bet-free 🙂

Feeling really tired now, but probably due to having had to do overtime this week as well as seeing solicitors about the flat purchase.

Well, pleased to say that this week things are starting to take shape 🙂 I have now officially completed my 6 month probationary period at work with no time off sick ( a huge big deal to someone who has just come off the sick for depression/anxiety ). We are going to exchange contracts tomorrow for the flat, and have just been given tonight to look over the lease to make sure we are happy with it. To be honest, I dont understand half of it anyway! its all in legal speak!

Today is day 56. 8 weeks since my last bet. I have been stressed to bits flying around everywhere today, but hopefully things will be sorted tomorrow and we will have a month to sort everything out with the move. I dont mind a bit of stress as long as it doesn't bowl me over, and its not prolonged. Its unfortunately an unavoidable part of life. I am just learning to change my lifestyle, so that only the unavoidable stress happens. Buying a flat and moving home is one of those that you can't help and is at least something that is for my benefit long-term.

This is what I call positive stress!

What would you prefer?

The stress of losing yet more hundreds of pounds of money that you will NEVER win back.

or...

The stress of trying to sort things out in order to have a far more positive future?

Dead easy, eh? I encountered this positive stress last Sunday when I had Sky installed for the first time. It really felt like an intrusion into my life having this dish drilled onto the outside of my property and things having to be moved around to accommodate the leads and the box.

But I am loving it to bits!

You must feel so, so proud to have done 6 months at work after coming off from depression - WELL DONE!

Life certainly looks much more rosy for you and long may this last!

Hi Freda (K)

Congratulations on 8 weeks. Great stuff! and this time like me you are going to do it!

One Day at a Time, though. That's all any one of us can do.

You should also try to approach other things in life that can give you stress in this way, I find it does help me.

Thanks for keeping an eye on me, your posts on my diary are always appreciated.

Hope all goes well with your move.

Hi Freda

Just wanted to say thanks for your support over the last few difficult weeks. I came back on here after a long absence down the dark tunnel of gambling and you were still there to support me.

It is really appreciated.

Hope you have a great weekend.

David
