Well done on 9 weeks. I'm around reading, but haven't the time to get onto the computer to write. Know that you are never far from my thoughts and always close to my heart. I will have lots of time to read and write once the chemo starts on the 15th. I'll catch up then. God Bless. x

Thank you ands,

Another day another dollar. Have seen a couple of job vacancies I can apply for, so that has given me some hope! Still sick of working with a misery guts, who won't take any action to help herself. Blah, blah, blah.

Been swimming this evening. Did 1 km which is not bad. Would have swam further, but it was so busy in the pool, wasn't really able to get into my stride.

Have filled out so many application forms lately, is getting right on my wick. It is so time consuming and dull writing over and over where you went to school, and trying to remember dates of your jobs. Just having a little gratuitous moan there! its not so bad is it? just one of lifes cr** things we all have to do.

Hi Freda...

... I know what you mean about filling in job applications.. its a tedious exercise for sure. But the time has come for me to find a new job to even though ive only been in this one for six weeks. It all takes time doesn't it.. applying and interview and waiting for references and CRB checks bla bla.. time to get my a**e into gear.

Anyway great stuff on the gamble free time.. your doing just fine by the sounds of it.. S.A 🙂

Hiya Freda,

Thanks for the message xoxo I haven't got to the pool yet, have ordered a new bathing costume, and in meantime going to hoke out my fake tan lol. I'll probably finish up looking like I've been tangoed 🙂 Have a lovely weekend.

Had a gambling dream last night. As usual, I was really enjoying it, but then in the dream the realisation hit me, that already after a few short minutes, I was already feeling the pull. I wanted to walk away in my dream, and I did, but I felt miserable because I had to fight the pull.

Thank you unconscious mind, you clever B*****r, for reminding me why I can't gamble.

Tomorrow will be 10 weeks clean.

Really fed up today. Has anyone ever been so unpleasant to you that you just don't know if you can keep your cool anymore?

I am sick of being told I am wrong about everything, being told what to do and what I shouldn't do. I can totally handle being corrected, don't get me wrong, but the hideous woman I work with is either an expert on everything, or just incredibly deluded. She really boils my P**s! It is getting to the point where I just don't want to talk to her at all, because I will just be told whatever I say/think/do is wrong.

I have even repeated things that she has said in the past, and she has disagreed with me - and I've gone "I got it from you, you said the same thing last week!!!!"

She is so bossy with her opinion though, the only way to get her to concede anything would be to have an expert on hand constantly, or to print the FACT's off the internet and show her.

I'm trying to just accept things and get on with it, but I feel like the only option left is to just stand there and stare into space. She even thinks she doesn't need to take her tablets from the doctor for high blood pressure, because she knows best about that. I said "what if you had a stroke and died? would that be fair on your kids?" and she said "but I won't" she even knows how to predict a stroke, she knows better than her doctor!

FFS!!!!

Hiya Freda,

Big hug x

Has anyone ever been so unpleasant to you that you just don't know if you can keep your cool anymore?

The answer is YES!

I think when you say the only option left is to stare into space...I'd be inclined to do that. Be as disinterested as possible lol.

Seriously though, I've come up against this and spent time reading on the net to help me deal with it.

Put a google search in for 'dealing with impossible people' and 'dealing with difficult people' There are a couple of interesting articles with advice.

I hope today has been good 🙂 Hows the job hunt?

Love Del x

Didou you poor dear, you will be up all night reading my diary!

Del, thanks for the support and suggestions, today was better, and the search is still on, just having a couple days breather from THE DREADED FORMS!

My bad day yesterday, reminded me there are people who care and it was nice to remember that. My husband is absolutely amazing.
