Hi mark hope you are having a good holiday with the family mate.i to like yourself ruined my last holiday with family and friends because of gambling.i feel really strong about never gambling for days then if I read the paper and see odds that look good it gets me thinking again.its to much in our faces without going in to bookies or online.:-( am so proud tho that I have nearly gone 3 months without placing a single bet, just like yourself mate.if we could gamble normal we would be good dads, sons, husbands, brothers and friends and still have a punt but we cant and others suffer when we gamble so the best thing for us is stay gamble free. Great result for Scotland to stay United.rule britannia :-):-)

Day 73 got through my holiday which was previously a big trigger with a few urges but enjoyed it so much more without gambling. I now have a renewed vigour with which to fight this!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your message.

74 days today of winning and not losing, you should be proud because it is a big achievement.

Life is sooo much happier, healthier and saner with no gambling in it.

You are getting nearer to the century club, keep fighting and stay strong, each day of abstaining makes us more determined to keep maintaining.

Well done to you.

Suzanne xx

Day 75 and there will be no gambling today. Still getting urges but I'm finding that with a good period of abstinence behind me they are getting easier to bat off, something which I hoped would happen but wasn't sure actually would. So although I'm still not feeling that much better I am slowly moving to a better place, and with that in mind the only piece of advice I feel able to offer so far is stick with it during those awful early days-things will improve. I also appreciate that I'm still right at the start of the journey and can't let my guard down for a second.

80 days for us mate as we stretch on 😉 was not bad at the football when I was younger but only play 5s and 7s now as my knees cant hold up for 90mins on grass 11,s.i play lots of sports right enough to try keep my mind off gambling like golf, pool and snooker aswel.its hard though because trying to fill gambling voids with sports but not getting as much time with wife and kids. Its going to take a while to get it 100% right and put myself last in the que but al take each day as it comes the now and hope to remain gamble free.i woke up today, didnt want a bet, didnt need a bet and hopefully thats the way its going to stay but we never know do we.the dream team league is taking shape now 🙂

Day 83 yet another Saturday but no betting for me. Big test yesterday, one of the lads at work wanted some football coupons and knew I was passing a bookies so asked me to pop in. I debated for a while but have been feeling strong recently so decided I would do it - big mistake. As soon as I stepped through the door the old feelings flooded back so I grabbed the coupons and ran. Big lesson learned that I am not strong enough yet and may never be so I wont be entering the devils den anymore.
