Very proud to have reached the century, didn't think it was possible from where I was. Things have got easier but they are not easy and I guess never will be, the urges still come but the key is having to tools in place to deal with them. One day at a time, on we march!

Mark

Fella a huge well done for your continued recovery

Keep making the right choice fella and the one thing you can guarantee is you won't add to life's woes.

No self destruction and the price

A new mindset

that the one of a continued winner.

From it take strength

Abstain and maintain

Duncs stepping forward never back

Still going strong, urges aplenty mainly due to aforementioned gambling culture at work, but am determined not to break. Have come too far for that.

Hi Mark,

Soooo very pleased you have posted because I only would have kept invading your diary to post lol.

Seriously I am very pleased you are still making that right choice and only choice for us which is to abstain and maintain one day at a time, even when it's gets tough and it does at times, even more so when we have a little spare cash, but you know what it would lead to GROUNDHOG DAY again, you have come so far, good idea to keep posting and don't forget Mr Bs challenge, he will be sooo pleased to hear from you, not nagging lol.

Guard up more now as the days mount up Mark, remember never underestimate the power of that awful addiction that is gambling.

And what it did to us.

Take care and really pleased you have posted,

Suzanne xx

Another decent week almost over with no bet. Been very tempted by a little go on the football but my first thought now is that I know where it will lead so that tells me ive come a long way.

Hi mate well done staying gamble free,i have been so tempted to have a go at the football myself but just think back to where it put me when I lost hundreds over the world cup is enough to keep me away plus I dont want to risk losing a great xmas with my family because 1 bet has sent me off the rails again. Keeping xmas as my target.hows your missus doing now, cant be long before new arrival is due mate. ;-);-);-)

Day 140!! Still clean and in a decent place. Still feeling the urge to gamble every day, only around football and feel like I could return to the odd football bet safely however I need to keep in mind that I know where it will inevitably lead. Occasionally I forget the pain gambling has caused me, but my financial situation soon brings reality sharply back into focus.
There's a definate empty space in my life that I can't seem to fill - but is this better than the devastation a return to gambling would surely bring ? It has to be.
