Hello my silky seductress,
I love to make you cringe. Really understand your submissiveness post this morning. Used to give in to my OH all of the time, these days I take much more of a leading role. No, that's not right. She still wears the trousers but I dare to voice protest and sometimes say NO WAY! I felt so guilty about my gambling I could forgive all of her lies and cheating. No, that's not right either.
Your love of thrillers my goddess of light. I am a big fan of Simon Beckett's crime fiction, loved the Millennium trilogy and Wallander etc. Anything you can recommend to me?
Anyway, whilst you are bored in that shop you can think of how you are going to reply.
I was once tempted with a woman who ran a paper shop. I was very young and in my first serious relationship. Anyway will save all those details for another time. Wow I had almost forgotten about that!
Finally, I sensed that you were feeling much easier about yourself and like you I think that accepting who we are with all the flaws is the way forward. We can only change stuff that we can control.
Take care pet.

Hi Shiny,
Acceptance really is the key, ive learnt I can moan and groan and drag my feet kicking and screaming as much as I like it doesnt change anything , or I can go fully aware with acceptance of what is and find some peace.
I know we say it all the time but the serenity prayer really is my mantra, I think your living proof of it.. 🙂
Enjoy your day.

Hey There,
Isn't recovery just grand? There was me thinking about you and your little deviation into the slow lane and then low and behold I catch up and find you sitting next to my good self in the middle again. How can that be? Time and effort I say. You have put much into your recovery and this prolonged period of calm has enabled you to find yourself. By finding yourself you have become supremely well equipped to deal with anything that could knock you out of 'our middle'
Two things I remember from my early days here are: 1. It gets easier 2. Don't get complacent. If you remain fully aware of Number 2 then Number 1 can develop it goes from easier to enjoyable. I think your forthcoming break is a sign life is becoming enjoyable. Whilst at our gambling peak was life this way? Seriously doubt it!
I just love reading people progressing and it's a spur for me to continue also. Thanks for remaining one of the shining lights.

Good Morning,
Just thought I would drop you a line to congratulate you on your continued progress and recovery. You have come a long way and it seems to most of us that you have been on this forum forever. I know that you don't bother with numbers too much but I like to think you have surpassed a year gamble free and that sets a marvellous example to me and to everyone else.
I hope you are using those spreadsheets. I can picture a very efficient workforce.
Tomso.
Thanks for your post shiny. Your support is always appreciated. Glad your "fixing yourself" and moving on in your life. Look forward to your holiday, enjoy the break and enjoy the real pleasures in life.
Affected by gambling?
