Oh Adam,

I'm deeply concerned about you. Sticking to poker once a week just £5 and not chasing. Good to hear, i'll have a bet in the Ebor at York next month ( just 1 x £5 bet on a horse and if it loses no chasing my money back ). It's never to late to stop but rule number 1 Be honest, not with the people on here but WITH YOURSELF. Reset the clock on your GF days and try again mate, no-one will judge you. Don't you get it we can't stop & that's what brought us here.

Stay Strong

AL

Hi smartie and al, thanks a lot both for  u reading my diary, noticing im falling back to old mindset and giving good advice.  I think ill take a step back this week and not go to poker and take a fresh look at this.  Been doing my spreadsheet tonight and looking at finances and the months where i done any damage were back in 2016 then the last time june july and august 2018,  in those times i saved a lot less each month.  this year ive spent a total of 16 pounds on gambling which is great but i can see the thoughts of gambling entering my mind again and if i dont stop the five pound poker games then they might increase to a full blown relapse, also i looked into a bookie when i walked past on saturday and thought about going in.  after all i wouldnt be resetting my day count cos i already done that in may.  I wish i wasnt on a minus for the year but just got to live with it and look on the plus side its not a lot to lose.

The last day i gambled was tuesday 16/07/19 im 5 days gamble free.

Well hello diary, end of another week, I wont lie ive played poker this week and had plans to go to the finals Sunday. Now it just clicked with the advice of my mum and al and smartie that it just took one seed to be filled and if I succomb and go on a fruit machine when in these pubs and I'm back to square one. So I took a deep breath and came on here. I'll not go on Sunday and ill have a good look at mysel over the next few weeks. Health wise I'm fighting fit done some lengths at pool today and still not drunk or smoked don't think ill do either again as I don't really need it.night people

End of another weekend, went to the health spa and gym 6 of the last 7 days really getting my moneys worth.  Proud to say i didnt go to the poker game today.  Its a small start but its a good start.  Ive spent 120 pounds this month, little over what i usually spend but i think im gonna get a bumper 900 plus this month which will help to make me finish on budget for the month well not on a minus at least anyway.  Off for the chat in  amin see how everyones getting on.  Still not smoked or drunk and feeling good for it, remembered last night i dont wake up 3am sunday morning really dehydrated anymore which is a bonus.
