Day 78.. thanks Rainbow and Duncs.

A frustrating work day in many ways. Am also just feeling moody, so will keep it short today. No gambling problems. Thanks for listening.. S.A 🙂

Sleep it off if you can SA...

Boss lingering round can't help your mood if you have been psyched up for her going and now an anticlimax if she is still loitering with intent (to be a beeatch)

Nevertheless with no gaambling and mucho rambling its win /win for you even if you have had a frustrating day...

sun goes up...sun goes down.

Day 79... no gambling problems

Yes, thats exactly what ive done Rach. I feel much better today. I think yesterday I was just recovering from that long run, combined with the loitering soon to be ex-boss still lurking with intent.

Sun goes up... sun goes down. I like the simplicity of that. Thanks again and have a good day yourself... S.A 🙂

Glad you are on the up again.

As you say for me the humdrum is the killer but you have def got humdrum by the short and curlies.

Keep up the good work and may the mileage (km) be with you.

Day 80.. thanks rainbow 🙂

Well ive managed to sort my tax affairs out. I got a letter from jobcentre saying bla bla and read it to the revenue over the phone which theyve accepted and now it turns out that instead of owing hundred's I now owe 80p! I can live with that lol

Seriously though I do feel good that ive just cracked on and sorted this problem out, albeit not a problem of my making. It's so easy just to ignore money problems isn't??.. leave the brown envelopes unopened etc etc.. well not anymore. Am keeping on top of my finances.. keep money stress away as far as that is possible when you ain't got much.

The b**** boss has gone!! and its like things are changing rapidly. It feels like the end of dictatorship and everyone is full of hope of new dawn. The only trouble with the end of dictatorship is that it opens up a whole new world of infighting and tribal warfare. Its not necessarilly going to be better but for me am enjoying the fact that things are changing. I am just taking each day as it comes as ive always done. I take the rough with the smooth. Go in do my job and go home.

No gambling problems. thanks for listening... S.A 🙂

The sun goes up, the sun goes down.

my friend i am glad to read your issue with our friend hmrc has been resolved. You should invoice them for time spent fixing there error and the expense of the phone calls. Lol i am sure they would love that.

Your so right about those envelopes that come through the post, 55 weeks ago i would have binned mine, the postman had become my nemesis.

Glad to read also that the boss has departed. Flags out!!!

And for sure that sun did come up, feels like you got to keep a piece of it.

You without doubt earnt it.

Just for today

duncs stepping forward never back.

Day 82..

I get it too Dotty 🙂

Day off today...yipeee!!

I been for an early run this morning. I'd looked outside the window and saw no frost no snow so went out without running jacket and promptly froze. Wierd thing was that after a bit i was sweating but also really cold. A struggle it was, especially as the roads were just clogged with rush hour traffic.. the noise the pollution.. it does my ed in. Every time i went to cross a road another blumin 4 wheel montser was there to stop me in my tracks. The total addiction society has to the car is getting stupid... its no wonder the world is warming up with all the cr** we is pumping into it.

My flat is a tip but i don't care lol... well actually i do cos i got a mate coming over in a while. The festering washing up must be tackled. No gambling problems..onwards... S.A 🙂

Day 83..

No gambling problems but i know am still an addict because I often find it hard to spend money on things i actually need. But today am happy to say that ive bought myself a new mobile to replace the one that ive had for 2 years that cost £10 and was pink! lol I now have a touch screen phone and it does everything i need it to do, even though its not one of these mega smart phones.

I nearly bought a new Tv as well but then i thought..well am perfectly happy with the one ive got. I don't "need" a new Tv. I'd like one but i don't "need" it. And then i thought I don't watch much Tv so why am i paying virgin media for a service that i don't use much. Am quite happy with just the freeview channels. So anyway I got on to them and despite the pressure they put you under I stuck to my guns and I says remove the Tv package. I then told them what services I wanted and then then we agreed the price and now my monthly virgin media bill will drop by 17 squid. This saving will offset rises in rent and bills... so thats good... am happy 🙂

Still makes me think though..the angst i put myself under when it comes to spending money and yet i thought nothing of feeding note after note after note after note after note after note into some machine!!

Today is a good day. In fact yesterday was a good day too. Had a friend over and enjoyed the company and got a buzz from helping him out with his life problems. I do enjoy helping people it gives me a feel good factor. Selflessness is so much better than selfishness.

Gym time! thanks for listening... S.A 🙂

Hi, I can relate to your mindset...We all, at times, do things we don't need 2 do...On the other hand, if a person does nothing... things still happen...Like you said..sun up, sun down...Sadly, there is no action without consequence...

Easy li£e

Hi SA

Glad you got the tax sorted out, I am just waiting on the letter from the jobcentre so I can shove it down there throats and I will all sorted too. Good move on reducing the virgin TV, TV at the moment is horrible and I barely watch it myself.

Keep clocking up the miles and days.

Day 84

Cheers both... i like what you say Easylife.. even when we do nothing constructive to change things, things still change... no 2 days are ever the same. And Rob when you get your letter phone them, don't just post it off. I wasn't pre-pared to wait for a month for them even to process it, its their mistake.

It was hard to get out running this morning, cold and wet but once i got going it was great. The cold rain stopped me overheating which is a big problem for me in the warmer weather. I did 2 hours 15 mins, probably about 15 miles.. am very pleased given that i nearly didn't go out at all.

Am happy that i went for those blood tests and the heart scan and the MRI. Its reassuring to know that their is nothing much wrong with me (physically anyway!) and the visual disturbances I sometimes get after a heavy training session is nothing to worry about. I will push on to the sub 4 hour marathon this year and who knows maybe a 1 hour 40 half-marathon.

No thoughts of a gambling binge but after everything i have gone through over the years I am a realist. This problem i have has not gone away. I just haven't put myself in any dodgy situations in the last 84 days where i might get tempted. There is much i'd like to change in my life where upon i might feel more secure in recovery, but then Rome wasn't built in a day. Am not cured I just keep working at not gambling a day at a time.

Thats me folks and thanks for listening... S.A 🙂
