Hi there
so impressed, such commitment going running in this grizzly weather and so true as to how good it makes you feel when you achieve what you set out to do.
Just as you are with the not spending as well so double whammy impressed.
Thanks for sharing and motivating me.

Day 85... thanks Rainbow 🙂
Yet again snow on the ground, enough to be disruptive but not enough to have a client free day. Its been a frustrating winter. Aleast am not gambling. Thanks for listening... S.A
The sun goes up, the sun goes down.
Sa
my friend you are so right Rome was not built in a day, and that ceiling is going to take a lifetimes work to finish.and to end for us, each and every one of us.
It is prevention instead of cure.
Just for today, i am glad to read you bettered yours.
I am off today and glad to say, as the white stuff pours again!!
Keep on running.
Forward never back.
Day 85 continues.. so much unpleasantness at work at work today. So much b******g and back biting. Some staff spend so much time smoking and moaning that they don't actually do their job.. it really P****s me off! Atleast when I am at work I always remember what my job is and my job is to support the clients and thats what i do.
It is hard when you work as part of a team in this type of work cos your so reliant on others to do their bit and when they don't it all falls apart. Anyway thats my moan over.
Thanks Duncs, the sun goes up, the sun goes down. Thanks for listening... S.A
Think "sun goes up sun goes down' may be the new "always forward never back' ..lol
it suits ya..thanks for popping in SA....as usual i say im gonna wind this diary down then about 4 posts in one day!!!!!!.....thats life Jim..
R and Dx
yes lol...Ive long since given up making prononcements about the end of diary, cos i always come back. Its an outlet... simples!
Day 87... nothing to say really, just carrying on carrying on. Bit stressed out with work and that, but thats life isn't it. Keep on running cos it keeps me on a level.
No gambling problems, but then ive not put myself in a dodgy situation where i might get tempted. I think the weather has helped, ive not really wanted to go out much, things may change as the weather warms, but i will cross that bridge when it comes.
A day at a time in it.. sun goes up sun goes down. Thanks for listening... S.A 🙂
Hi SA,
Those days are stacking up nicely there! I agree about the cold. Just makes you want to hibernate, so keeps you out of temptations way!

Hey SA ....am also still happy hibernating...

Not sure if the Witch is being replaced but hoping to God you don't get a Warlock!
Keep on running....
R and D ..switching onto youtube xx
Day 90.. other wise know as 3 months! Yeh!!
thanks peeps 🙂
The witch is replaced yes, with a new manager who is very proffessional but perfectly friendly. She is clearly experienced and knows what she is doing. The complete opposite to what went before. A good first impression. The last couple of days have been mentally tiring but absolutely fine.
It also feels good to once again to be talking about time since last gamble in terms of months (3!) rather than days.
I need to remain on my guard, cos from now on my history says that it starts to get harder. Historically I do tend to get through the difficult early days only then to seemingly f*** up out of the blue. I sabotage myself. I do not intend to do that this time. Onwards and forwards gamble free... S.A 🙂
The sun goes up the sun goes down.
Hey M8
Good to read you have a better new boss.
Still keeping up the running eh kid.Im venturing with doing a bit myself as it gets warmer.Fairweather sportsman me.
Maybe your job wont seem as bad now then, first impressions are usually right.
3 months kid,excellent work.All the best Jeff.
Hi SA
Well done on reaching three months.
Great news on the new manager, having a stress reduced or free working environment can make a big difference. Hope it makes your days that little bit easier.
I know what you mean about getting through the early days, I always used to hit a wall around the 4-5 month mark. It was normally one big blow out and I would do my nut and lose nearly a full months wage. I felt like cr**, awful. Only thing I can say is long as you learn something else about yourself, long as you are aware to maybe do something a little different next time the outcome will be different. We can only try and move ourselves on that bit more. Keeping stepping forward.
Also loving the sun goes up, sun goes down line. Makes me think of a Simpsons episode where he does the bed goes up, bed goes down. I can imagine you with a little remote control magically bringing the sun up and down. 🙂
Day 91... no gambling problems. I just don't gamble a day at a time.
Thanks Jeff and Rob 🙂
Talking of the sun coming up Rob, thats the only thing thats stopped me going for another long run this morning. I don't like the winter sun in my eyes, it gives me visual migraines. Its prob a good job am not doing long run cos yesterday i ran/jogged for 2 hours 24 minutes and 22 seconds... and tired legs can become injured legs. I think I might gym it though, a steady 10km which would make the weekend mileage more than 20 miles prob 22 miles plus.
The marathon distance is such a challenge, its too much for me really, the "half" is my distance but am getting bloody minded that i will do a marathon in a fairly decent time before I pack it in... 3 hours 50 should be possible for me on a flat course on a good weather day ie cool... I need to do a winter marathon. Thinking about one in December.
My flat is a tip. I will clean and tidy today. I will, come on!! Thanks for listening... S.A 🙂
Hi SA,
You are right. I'm not you, but when it comes to gambling we are all pretty similar, so in this way I am just like you. Takes a CG to know a CG - off to install that k9 thingy - as thats what people like us do, when we are committed to our recovery ; )
Just wanted to say that overall, taking the sum of your posts over the last few months, you seem to be moving in a positive optimistic direction. It's like your headspace is becoming more and more positive bit by bit. you are on a roll!
Cheers,
f x
