Day 20. No urges but mustn't get complacent. From here on is where the real vigilance must begin!

Day 24. Had strong urges yesterday and today, nearly as bad as the first few days of quitting, don't know why or where they have come from. Hopefully posting on here will help.

otherwise things are going well. Sleeping and eating better, definately feel more level with none of the emotional highs and lows related to winning/losing.

I read on this forum that the urges lessen with time, I suppose they already are, before yesterday I hadn't thought about gambling for several days.

onwards and upwards!

Made it through Day 24. First GN that I have not had a bet on for years.

Urges have been quite strong of late, I had a few hundred quid of spare money in my account and I think that was far too tempting, so I have overpaid my loan this afternoon. It's made me feel better.

Day 25 today, five more days to 30!

Day 26. Feeling much better, urges seem to have gone away. I wonder why they come and go like that?

Day 28. Still gamble free.

I can't believe how many of us there are, there must be thousands of people in the country with this problem, it's such a shame.

Congratulations on 4 weeks Tryinghard 🙂

I had similar time frames with my urges & keep a watchful eye on the diaries of people ahead of me! I never underestimate this addiction, hell I lived it for nearly 3 decades but it's always good to have a head's up that they may be on their way!

It is awful that we all have this problem but by being here, getting help & supporting each other, we are beating it - ODAAT
