Hey Buddy,

Great to hear from you. Know it's been a busy one this week. Running has been pretty hit and miss lately for me but on the plus side I have not stopped exercising. Do 'Insanity' program 6 days a week and it's really helping my cardio and body shape. I'm hoping it will help with the running too. Yet to properly test that theory though.

Keep ticking those days off one at a time mate. Xmas draws ever closer and I for one cannot wait. You will be bearing down on 6 months then. Immense!!

day 127

Well had few busy days and got few more coming up,its that time of year I guess

I have to say for some reason, I don't know why or where it came from I seem to be struggling at the moment. Yes I am keeping busy,I am bit run down and given myself rest of week off running. It was payday Monday and I had day off and went Xmas shopping and out of the blue, after not even any thoughts I had major attack of the urges.

I know I can't and won't go back to the way my life became but it don't stop the from out of nowhere urges.

You can't change the past but you can dictate the future

Hello Again,

Just a quickie to say those urges are totally normal. It's a bit crazy sounding at first to say we have a voice in our head but it's really there. You got paid, you spent a fair whack I'm guessing on xmas so the voice is saying you can 'win' that back.

Well done for resisting and try not to let it get to you.

HI Carl,

Those urges are bxxtard things are they but I found once i accept that they will come from time to time i found it easier, I used to get really angry when they came now i just fob them off as best I can and dont give them any power to take over my thinking.

Keep going mate your doing brilliant.

Cheers for the post carl.

As people are saying urges are totally normally. There bound to come along now and again. We must never forget its a very strong addiction. But I think as blondie says once you accept that, it is easier to deal with and just don't worry about them to much and they'll soon get bored and stop trying. Try and accept them when they come and say to yourself ok I've got this urge to gamble, should i gamble? No, do I want to gamble? No. Ok I want gamble. Does the trick for me. Might wanna say it to yourself tho, say it out loud and you may get some funny looks.

Well done on resisting and well done on your continued success. You really are doing great mate.

Hey mate,

Thanks for all the post on my wall mate really appreciate it. Things are well still working at the same place too hard for too little. Got paid 2 full wages today from the army and this other job and was really glad that i didnt get any urges so I am happy about that.

I did have a bad time a week or so ago and urges were really strong I cant explain it but I just glad I didnt give in,

I hit 200 days today so its going to keep me going and gives me more confidence but I am not going to get complacent I know I will never be able to gamble again because I would just not be able to stop so best to just never do it again.

Things are going well me and my wife are going christmas shopping in brighton tomorrow going to be a manic day.

I hope you are doing well and enjoy your 4 days off try not to get shot too much in paintballing.

Take care

Ricky 🙂

Hey Carl sounds like you are doing really well! Managed to keep strong despite the urges is a great sign!

When I have tried to stop in the past I would just be feeling confident and back to normal and then bang..... The urges would hit and too many times I gave into them!

You sound a lot stronger than I was back then so keep up the fight it will be worth it!

Hi Carl,

So strong!

That's what you was when those buggers came knocking!

It is strange out of nowhere they can appear but knowing you can never go back there seemed to help you no end and i'm really proud you got through it!

Keep Strong Carl
